As long as pearl clutchers like you keep willingly giving more and more control over to people who are no more qualified to care for you (at best) than you are, it keeps needing to be repeated

prepare to see a dramatic spike in the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the state as testing ramps up
We are currently only testing people who are sick and showing a specific set of symptoms. Of course cases are going to go up. Grinding this entire country to a halt for two weeks seems like a massive overreaction. I saw three states have already decided to cancel school for the rest of the year. What happens to those kids?

I'd love to know how many of those old timers would have survived the seasonal flu

i'm talking about total cases not deaths
either this is the biggest overreaction in the history of humankind as well as our state government having literally no plan, OR the state government is lying to us about the data they have

Well no shite. We know this is wide spread. We also know it is not hurting 80% of the people who get it.

I think everyone knows it’s much worse in NOLA.

Probably get exposed to corona. Just like they would have had nothing been done. And they will recover. Just like if nothing had been done.

How much further can they go with this?
I'm all for trying to limit the spread of the disease/not over whelm health care but it seems we are going over board in many areas now.

There is a reason people say it’s a slippery slope. Think of how quickly this has all happened.
