For those that still have the option, who is sending their kids to daycare?

Still have the option but not doing it. From the beginning I knew there was no way to contain this if you leave the daycares open.

Me.

As long as they are open, she is going.

We have no other choice. Wife is a teacher and they are forcing them to go to school and will not allow them to bring their children to the empty classrooms.

He is home with my wife this week... we'll reevaluate this weekend, assuming daycare stays open.

I stopped sending mine. We have to pay regardless, so why not just keep his arse home and not take any chances.

I got a week of vacation coming up... drop your children off and I'll watch them for $60/day. I offer discounts for parents who bring booze.

My temp this morning was a glorious 97.6 degrees

My son and daughter are still going to daycare, in fact the daycare has a crew coming in every night and doing a disinfection. My wife is working from home for the foreseeable future and my office ain't gonna close unless an act of Congress to close down so we are taking them as long as we can so we can work.

Our daycare is open but we're keeping them at home since someone at our work and works closely with my wife is in the ICU with covid. Don't want our kids being little spreaders in the chance it's been passed on from co-worker to the.

I agree. With all the people that come in and out and all the people the kids come in contact with it's just asking to spread the virus by leaving them open.

My kids home with me for now. I'm lucky I have that option as I know many don't.

Same. I work for the State and I am in the midst of leaving for a new job, and my wife is pretty high up at her employment and can't leave either. Though we have the vacation time, we'd rather save it for when daycare eventually closes

How are daycares any safer than schools?

I’d rather have the College of Cardinals watch my kids.

I'm at the office and the kids are still at daycare. They've stepped up cleaning/sanitizing to a ridiculous amount and there's like NO kids there. She's probably safer there than at my house trying to kill herself.
Also, I can't blame daycare for staying open and it honestly seems selfless considering they've said many parents of kids are first responders and healthcare professionals. How easy would it be for those parents to help the CV cause if they had to stay home with their kids all day?

Both my kids, age 4 and 5, are still going to daycare. They take their temp in the lobby and noone other than teachers is allowed back with the kids. My guess is that by the end of the week they close.
