liberals don't control the senate or the presidency so how are they gonna pass laws to do that?

Awesome. Innovation of technology doesn’t tank the economy across all sectors.

The Governors are doing the most damage.

After seeing what happened in Italy, I completely understand the actions that are being taken. Its not that its worse than anything else that is out there, its just that it is spreading fast and if nothing is done then resources will be overwhelmed.
So I don't have a problem with a temporary disruption. Maybe we will learn how to appreciate things a little more by going through this. And while it is easy to say "the government is creating this fear", etc.. What would be the motivation behind them doing this? 3... 4.. 5 months from now this will be a thing of the past and we will move on. Like we do with everything else.
agreed. people act like not working for a month is the end of the world, its actually kind of sad.
in the grand scheme of your life one month is almost nothing, so just try to enjoy shite being different for a little while and try not to pay too much attention to your 401k, it'll rebound when this all settles down

My thread is pure facts.
This is an important time to call bullshite what it is, and your post to start this thread is 100% bullshite.
Claiming that this is a calculated "crisis to shift responsibility to the government for relief or else they will pursue anarchy" is not just totally false, it's brain-bendingly moronic. It's equally as stupid and fake as claiming that the CDC is run by leprechauns. Just think about it for a second: You're claiming that Donald fricking Trump is participating in a plot by poor people to wreck the economy on purpose.
This isn't a "difference of opinion" or "who can really say what's going on" type of situation. You're just full of shite.

Ya know, people didn't think Hitler was that bad when his body count was still low. Imagine what could've been done had they taken him seriously early on. I'm sure the Jewish people would've appreciated people with similar mindsets as yourself to take that one seriously.

Not if this is the new normal reaction to every bug that pops up bi yearly.

Gov. Cuomo himself said he's in contact with other governors.

How are the governors doing damage? What should they be doing differently?

Election year.
Don’t let that little fact get lost in all this.
You’re foolish and or purposefully naive if you do.

The arrogance of this is astounding. Or maybe you're in such a bubble you don't realize that there are quite a few people in this country who will be financially ruined by not working for an entire month.
Not everyone has a cushy state job with guaranteed income or works in a position with a company that allows working from home.
This panicky bullshite is going to financially destroy people. Far, far more than will be affected by Covid.
But hey, you're covered so frick everyone else.

We should all stop driving. It can kill you at rates well over that. It’s perfectly avoidable just stay home and don’t drive and we would have an automobile accidental death rate of zero.
