You're the G8? The G4? The Supply Sergeant? The GPC Card holder? Surely you're not trying to say that because you're a 25-series you have that authority.

Actually I’ve been a GPC holder at the wing level and also was responsible for purchasing all IT assets, their accountability and distribution for an entire wing while being a fresh E-5. Back 2015 ish

My point is that you can't possibly hold every authority required to purchase a workstation, add it to the property book, image it, put it on the network, authorize it for use and authorize user credentials simultaneously. That violates the basic IT principles of separation of duties and least privilege.

Long day yesterday. Getting ready to head back in.

While true, high fever is one of the first signs on the CDC’s checklist so that’s where we start. I got a text this morning that we are scheduled to get actual test kits tomorrow afternoon. Until then, we just continue the screening process. I did hear that we have 5 “potentials” who all had the same contact with the same positive person. Should be fun today.

Y’all stay safe.

I’ve done tier one and tier two work so at some point of my career I’ve been involved in all those aspects.

When I was in charge of IT asset management I was the finally authority if something was purchased and it was shipped to my unit directly. I then would transfer it on that unit’s account and had my tier one guys image it and put it on the network. Then they would install it to who ever needed.

Also I would be the one buying mass stock and then would be the authority to direct it where it needed to go. If it was a tech refresh or replacing broken equipment.

Are you overwhelmed with people presenting real symptoms or people who are scared or idiots that use the ER like a pcp?

Does it appear that high fever is a sign of severity?

Most fevers we’ve seen have been running 99-101. The 101s and up get attention. We’ve seen a ton of runny noses and watery eyes but things are blooming and allergies are acting up but it’s freaking people out.

Not sure if it's true, but I read a runny nose isn't even a symptom of corona virus.
