They are more my speed. Most cities with 150k people have everything I need.
My job pretty much exists in all of them too. I might make 15% more in Austin but that's offset by a higher COL.

A lot these mid sized in the South have the right recipe right now. -- That's a good list above as they're all going through major upswings while still being affordable with a heavy list of things to do in and around the city. I loved larger cities like L.A when I was younger, but now that I've got a few kids of my own I'll take the affordable up and coming mid sized city all day.
