I scheduled an appointment when I had to do that. 30 minutes max. And that includes my dumbass bringing an expired proof of insurance.

Depending on where you live, next time research the surrounding areas to find a DL office in a smaller city. Avoid the mega offices like the plague, you will sit there for hours. You may have to drive a little bit farther, but hey you're not sitting on your arse forever.

There is one in Garland i believe where you can make an appointment online then show up at your appointment time and they call you right up.

I'm making an assumption that you are in the DFW area.

Because you never have to spend a lot of time fighting with insurance companies.

That's where she is, we didn't know about the appointment so I dropped her off at 8 am.

She's 17 back now after 6 hours but has to leave at 3:30 pm for work. She may sit there all day and not for nothing.

These places suck freaking balls

It's a problem nationwide.

I've never waited longer than 15 minutes at my state-run DMV office.

When we moved here my wife went there with an appointment and they called her up as soon as she walked in the door.
