I’m looking for a place to stay for 2 nights in March
Possibly a winery or near one

I think all the wineries in that area are in Cottonwood, about 20-30 minutes from Sedona. We did a VRBO house in Sedona, so not real familiar with the hotels there. The one Elote Cafe is attached to looked cool, and I definitely recommend eating dinner at Elote one night. It is amazing.

That would be the Arabella and it’s great. Stayed there last fall. The Amara by Kimpton. Hyatt Residence Club was nice too.

Your gonna enjoy it. Make sure you eat the free breakfast there.

There's plenty of great hiking in Sedona. I went a couple of weeks ago and can recommend Doe Mountain, Devil's Bridge and Boynton Canyon. All 3 were pretty easy and had something different to see.

I'd look them up before you go. There are a bunch of different options there, and it can be a bit overwhelming.
My two favorites were Cathedral Rock and Devil's Bridge. Cathedral Rock has a tricky section that you have to scramble up some rock, but it's not that difficult. And the trailhead is basically right across the street from the Arrabella.

Make sure to pay attention to what trailheads require Red Rock passes where you park.
Can get red rock passes at many gas stations

Cathedral rock & Devil's bridge are must do. We also enjoyed Soldier Pass but you need to make sure you get there kind of early or later in the evening. Not many parking spots available there.

You can also purchase them at the trailheads. No need to make an extra stop.

There are trailheads right by the Arabella. Open the door to your room, walk to the back of the parking lot, and you’re there!
They brought out an astronomer one night who had a high powered telescope. We were able to see Jupiter and all kinds of nebulas. If they offer that one night, check it out.

Not at every trailhead. Yes you can at some....but not all. There is a Giant gas station in Oak Creek area that sells them. If you are driving up to Sedona from PHX you usually will pass this gas station. Very easy to stop there when you gas up your car and buy at the register.
Eta: You cannot buy them at Devil’s Bridge trailhead. Parking for Devil’s Bridge can be challenging if you go during busy times(March is gonna be busy everyday because so many people traveling in for Spring Training venture up to Sedona as well). If you don’t have a high clearance 4X4 vehicle you have to park and walk over a mile to get to where the actual Devil’s Bridge trail starts.

Parking was pretty limited at just about all the trails we hiked. Exception being the ones close enough to the house we stayed in to walk to. Speaking of, Secret Slickrock is a fun little hike. It hugs a cliff face overlooking Crescent Moon picnic area along Oak Creek, and if you're adventurous you can scramble down the cliff face to the park and take a dip in the creek. Probably too cold for that in March though.

Because they aren't required.

That’s only if you have a 4x4 high clearance vehicle and can drive the road to the actual start of the trail.
If you don’t have a 4x4 high clearance vehicle and are parking in the lot before the dirt road and then walking the mile to the actual start of the trail you absolutely have to have a Red Rock Pass.
I’ve hiked Devil’s Bridge numerous times and have parked at both spots. When I didn’t have my Jeep and had to park at the paved lots I can remember signage stating Red Rock Passes were needed.
Eta: unless they have recently changed it. Either way...it’s a $5 pass that you can use at multiple spots or pay $20 to have for a year. Super easy to just buy at a gas station and then not worry if the automated machine at a trailhead is working or not.
