Uhh for the vast majority of people it LOWERS blood pressure...

While some people do experience a uric acid spike during initial fat adaptation (I never have), from a primary glucose-burning state, those who are fat adapted actual have better regulated uric acid and anti-inflammatory function.

Bottom line: A well-formulated ketogenic diet is not a contraindication in people with a history of gout. But once through the keto-adaptation phase, consistency with the diet is advised in order to avoid repeated swings in blood uric acid level caused by going in and out of nutritional ketosis.

My cholesterol was borderline for years. Did keto for 4 months and my cholesterol dropped in half from what it was the previous year.

I was already pretty thin and I started eating oatmeal for breakfast and lunch M-F (with peanut butter) and a sensible home cooked dinner with broccoli and cauliflower for sides, and walking 3-4 miles a couple of times a week and I lost 20 lbs.
So, eat normally, move a little, don’t drink alcohol, and the weight will come off. I now eat ice cream every night because I need to gain about 10 of it back.

Funny that Americans have been dropping dead from heart disease and diabetes well before this was a thing.
What yall consider a normal diet has been killing us for decades.
You are probably more addicted to hfcs than a crack head is to crack.
As far as the op, think for a second. you are still eating that butter, but you are putting it on top of bleached flour.
