I was 38 for my 2nd child.
My wife and I traveled the world before we started having kids.
Definitely pros and cons either way you do it but kids are awesome.

Me 40, wife 38. Last of six. After number 5, Dr told her she shouldn’t, which meant she would.

36 and wife was 31 when we had our second boy. He's about to turn 1 next week. I'm thinking he's the last, but not ruling out another because we've got two frozen at the fertility clinic

Fourth and last kid was when I was 29. I'm 57 now, and I've had no real responsibilities since I was 47.

consider the cost of living/education seems like most couples need both people working and having careers.
This is bullshite. My wife and I had four kids when we were in our 20's. She quit when the first was born. I made a decent salary, but it was nowhere near what folks like you think you "need". We just got by with what we had, and enjoyed the best years life has to offer. We're wealthy now, but I've never felt more rich than I did when we were living paycheck to paycheck and raising four little kids.
Most people "want" so much that they need two incomes; they don't "need" it. There are exceptions, of course.

I get what you are saying, but didn't you just say you are 57? Things may not be exactly the same as they were 30 years ago

28 for our first. 30 for our second. Debating on baby number 3 now. Im 32.5 now.
One boy came at 36.5 weeks our second came at 33.5 weeks. So trying to make sure that wont be a recurring trend. Our second spent 32 days in NICU.
Just not sure on a third.

advanced maternal age, but if you’re youthful, have energy, and have the money, that doesn’t seem that old to me.
People take issue with it because she is advanced maternal age and there a risks that come with that. Older women are higher risk for chromosome disorders, multiple gestation, and other health conditions that can put both the baby and mom at risk. They are saying she old to have a baby not too old to be a mom.

20. one and done. I'd cry if someone asked me to have a kid now. I'm 39. I'm done with the hard shite, it's time to enjoy life for awhile.
