Unless the ad had the guy dying in a helicopter crash. I dont see a reason to change it.

The death of any child is so sad. They're incapable of providing for themselves.
The 7 people onboard the helicopter put their lives in the hands of its pilot and lost them due to his (alleged) error. That's sad too.
As was the death of Carley McCord and others in that accident.

Conspiracy! The people at Planters killed Kobe to have an excuse to *NOT* kill Mr. Peanut!
Book it!

I’m struggling to see the connection between the tragic actual death of a basketball player and the whimsical fictitious death of a peanut company mascot, but perhaps I’m not woke enough.

Mr. Peanut was ejected from his Nutmobile along with actors Wesley Snipes and Matt Walsh, then let go of the branch the three were hanging onto, plummeting to the ground and exploding, along with his vehicle.

There is a Bible verse explaining that God gives people different talents. Kobe found his talents and turned it into a fortune. You could argue it was destiny. All of that comes with huge responsibility because it is an easier path for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God. From the outside it looked like Kobe was doing it right and had his life together... Everybody wanting to take a shot... But only a handful can make it... The rest of you rantards get swatted back to hell.

Q called this - poli board
Q predicted the death of Kobe from a peanut commercial?
But how does this connect to a world wide child sex abuse ring?

Did these same people weep when a soldier is killed? Not likely because the soldier cant hit a turn around jumper from 18 feet.
The reason they don’t have emotion is because they can’t put a face with the name.
Many have followed Kobe since high school and have grown watching him. He was an icon so there is sadness associated with someone larger than life passing. Someone who did inspire and bring joy to people.
Sadly, there are thousands of soldiers who die in service we never hear of or just glance over because we don’t have any connection to them.
There are some great basketball players and some pieces if crap. There are great soldiers and also soldiers who are horrible people. Not all soldiers deserve praise just as not all basketball players deserve praise.
Kobe happened to be someone who did inspire people. He was a positive influence on his community. He used his gifts and brought joy to millions of people across the world.
I would say he earned the respect he is being shown. If people want to mourn him, no harm.

It would be considered poor taste to run an add about a fake death so soon a after a tragedy.
Some would be turned off by that.

why does some dude that played basketball get so much attention?
Asking why people care about what they care about is similar to asking why the sky is blue.
People care about public figures, people really liked Kobe and his premature death has affected them.
Im all in on distrust of the media, but they didn't manufacture this response.

Did Kobe like peanuts?
Aren't peanuts like watermelon and fried chicken? The entire Planters campaign has been revealed to be racist or worse.

We dont know about the soldier because our culture parades around athletes and celebs higher than regular Joe schmo
Kobe is equivalent to a court jester. Purely for entertainment.

Don't really think the DOD would allow for live streaming everyday so that a soldier would be Uber famous and the actual death on the battlefield.
Millions mourned Pat Tillman so you are not very smart or very young.

So you think Kobe was a great man like Pat Tillman. I dont remember pat being arrested for sexual assault.
Face kobe isnt some folk hero. hes just an athlete that cheated on his wife
Plenty people in the world have accomplished more than he did

I think Pat was a public figure and a soldier. Most soldiers aren't public figures and no one knows Private Joe Badass cept maybe 1000 people. Those 1000 people will mourn his death
This isn't a difficult concept.
Think better

Because if you watch the NBA regularly like I do, it's sad. How would you feel if your favorite QB went out like that?
