Will end up being a career 70%+ FT shooter. His form is good.
Hayes/Ball/Zion FT% in college is 74/67/64
In the NBA it's: 63/47/38
I just don't get it. Of course sample size on Zion, but still definitely applies to Hayes/Zo.

Regarding Zion FT shooting. What I saw in college and what I see now is an almost identical situation. What happens is when Zions legs become fatigued he overuses his upper body to guide the ball in almost with robotic movement. When he was hitting those 3’s you could see how in rhythm his lower half was with his upper half. His conditioning IMO will determine how good of a shooter he will be.

Yea, Hayes reminds me of Blake Griffin
Went from like 62% as a rookie to like a 77% present day
The big problem with the Pels FT has been Jrue. He was once a mid-high 80’s knock down FT shooter. He’s at 71% this year.
Zion shot 64% last year at Duke, we really going to go thru this again like when Ingram & ball “couldn’t shoot” this offseason?
Dude isn’t a 37% shooter. The games moving a little fast for him right now. He’s not the greatest shooter obviously, but 36% is an anomaly.

You normally seem to have a negative view and appear to be a Celtic fan. Why the traffic here? Are you a Pels hater or do you view yourself as a neutral party? You dont seem to troll, so i dont care either way. Just curious...
love basketball.
Pretty neutral.
Over time feel free to point out my supposed negativity.
Usually im pollyanna, all go all the time.
Pointing out actual numbers doesnt say negative. It says realist.
I preferred clarke to hayes for pels. I still think im right although many see high ceiling for hayes.
I love jrue and would not deal him. Hes coming off injury. He'll regain stroke soon.
Yes im a celtics fan.
Since Larry and mchale.
Ive only got so much bandwidth for hoops.
Im following memphis since they got morant.
I graduated murray st.
High school lake charles.
And im following pels because im on td anyway and i love hoops.
Happy day to you.

FT shooting is literally just time practicing and a commitment to it. Gentry isn’t the type to drill that. One of the many reasons he’s a shite coach and you don’t want a players’ coach to run your franchise. We need a drill sergeant to whip these guys into shape, someone meticulous that will fix even the small issues

Neither was Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, or Doc Rivers, I guess.
Also, if we're deciding that FT shooting is on coaching, isn't it really weird how Brandon Ingram went from a 68% FT shooter in LA to 85% and Lonzo went from 42% to 54% this year with Gentry?
It's like some posters don't understand that there is a difference between their middle school days and the NBA.

They're in the NBA. I ain't blaming FTs on a head coach.
