1...........I personally think he is going after Biden because of what he perceives the Obama administration, Hilary & the DNC did to him during the 2016 election! He blames them all for tapping his phones, the Steele Dossier and the whole Mueller investigation. I truly don't think he even thought about the 2020 election, this is payback for 2016, 17, 18 & 19.

Board Poll re Impeachment
1. Trump’s request to Zelensky for a Ukrainian investigation of Biden was motivated by a desire to enforce the criminal laws of the US, and he thus should not be removed from office.
2. Trump’s request to Zelensky for a Ukrainian investigation of Biden was motivated by US domestic politics, and he thus should be removed from office.
3. Trump’s request to Zelensky for a Ukrainian investigation of Biden was motivated by US domestic politics, but it does not constitute a “high crime or misdemeanor,” and he thus should not be removed from office.
4. Other.

why do this? you know the majority of this board is going to vote 1 even if they know it isn't true because you can't speak poorly of GE
Probably because most rational people require factual evidence, not hearsay.

Too bad there was literally no evidence of criminal wrongdoing by Biden here.

What a coincidence. Neither is there of Trump.

funny how it wasn't required to requests a foreign country to look into an American citizen in the first place. But I guess we are selective about what requires evidence and what doesn't now.

Desire to actually expose corruption by other politicians.
So you are saying the guy that has recently had to pay millions for his businesses defrauding people, just really hates corruption now.

Looking into someones activities requires hard evidence while impeachment does not.
ok

Trump and his attorneys dropped the ball from the get go.
He should have said "I was investigating whether a former sitting Vice President had committed a crime".
Instead , he and his Cracker Jack attorneys allowed the Democrats narrative of "he was interfering in an upcoming presidential election".
Pure stupidity.

I was really hoping for a simple poll, rather than another argument thread.
Oh well.
Oh well.

Hey if you want to be patently dishonest because you like the dude as president that's on you. But this guy's entire well recorded history, pattern, and multiple witness testimonies, speaks to this assessment being wrong.
Now as to the question of if it is grounds for removing him from office I don't necessarily agree with that part.

No evidence brought forth points to any motive that Trump asked for an investigation based on his desire to get Biden for the election. There have been countless hours of testimony and countless documents released yet nothing proves his motive.
Therefore the entire premise of choices 2 and 3 are wrong. If you want to read motive into actions you are more than welcome to, but partisan politicians being trusted to blindly read motive how they see fit is a dangerous precedent to set. Especially for something as serious as impeachment.
