If Corey Raymond is not given a shot to be DC at this point something is wrong. Nobody deserves it more than Raymond

Can't just promote someone to an important position like DC just because he has been here for a while.

But we promoted a d line coach to head coach and won a national championship?

O had been a DL coach at multiple schools, a HC, and an interim HC on 2 occasions- not to mention other positions (such as recruiting coordinator, strength coach, etc). CRaymond has been strictly a DB coach

Oh yeah. Dennis Allen will leave a DC position in the NFL for the same position in college football.
Seems reasonable

Lol that’s the same logic O used in promoting E. And it didn’t work out. He went for the safe hire after the Canada fiasco. I’m grateful he brought in brady but he needs to realize we need a full time young innovative OC.

I would like for someone who is reasonably knowledgeable on defense and knowledgeable of DCs, to breakdown the top 5 realistic candidates, pros & cons. I think would be interesting read and to compare with Os actual choice.
Top of this list should be a good recruiter.
