Let me ask one more question then I'll go away for tonight . Who has the advantage the team with the lite schedule that's rested etc. or the battle tested team

Both of those scenarios are working in LSU's favor in my opinion. Why?...

Your schedule- Clemson lost on a lot the Defensive side of the ball. With only one true test, you have not had several games against better talent to develop your players. It was showing against OSU. Clemson won, but any objective observer knows everything went your way. OSU should have won that game. You know it and the players know it.

Our schedule-We had some youth on D as well. They have been tested with the grueling schedule, made many mistakes, but are now playing as good as anyone. The last 3 games we are 3rd in the country on yards allowed.

Clemson is really good, but being tested would have been better for them.

Oh, and, if Damien, Terrance and CEH are back healthy as expected, along with Divinity returning from suspension, it will be the first time since game one that we are full strength.

OSU said the same thing for over two weeks. It didn't work out for them and it won't work out for y'all.

We cant help that we play in a crappy conference . That's why we schedule 2 Sec teams or 1 and Notre Dame every year.
Not this year.

Ok, translate that to the rest of the 73 games...you would be 60-13, and not been in the playoffs except the two years you beat Alabama.

That gives you the benefit of winning the rest, but think if you had Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, Aggie lined up every year. Aggie is not good but give you fits. The grind means something, and managing it is not something your team would or could do most years.

Clemson is a good team. They probably win the West last year, but who knows what happens with that Bama game if you had to play in on the road.

We are here to stay and with Bama on the down swing a little bit you might see us again next year in the playoff . Good luck it I hope it's a good game .
What the frick does Bama have to do with you being in the playoff?

Well, the fact is this ain't last year. This is 2019; at least until the end of the day.
I don't think anybody is saying that Clemson isn't a good team; hell they skull dragged Alabama last year after the same kinds of claims were being made. They have to play the schedule that they have. Fact is, Clemson's schedule is weak in comparison to LSU's; very weak. You can rest assured that LSU thinks that they are going to beat Clemson; as do all LSU fans. Fact is: in 12 of Clemson's 14 games their opponent didn't even reach the 300 yd mark in Total Offensive. LSU does have 1 common opponent with Clemson; Texas A&M. Clemson beat A&M 24-10 and LSU beat A&M 50-7. I'm just saying, Clemson hasn't played many really good teams.

CLEMSON DEFENSIVE YARDS ALLOWED
Game 1 - Total 294 Passing 137 Rushing 157 - Ga. Tech
Game 2 - Total 289 Passing 236 Rushing 53 - Texas A&M
Game 3 - Total 187 Passing 172 Rushing 15 - Syracuse
Game 4 - Total 216 Passing 63 Rushing 153 - Charlotte
Game 5 - Total 290 Passing 144 Rushing 146 - North Carolina
Game 6 - Total 253 Passing 150 Rushing 103 - Florida St.
Game 7 - Total 263 Passing 107 Rushing 156 - Louisville
Game 8 - Total 177 Passing 80 Rushing 97 - Boston College
Game 9 - Total 256 Passing 117 Rushing 139 - Wofford
Game 10 - Total 290 Passing 166 Rushing 124 - NC State
Game 11 - Total 105 Passing 41 Rushing 64 - Wake Forrest
Game 12 - Total 174 Passing 105 Rushing 69 - South Carolina
Game 13 - Total 387 Passing 283 Rushing 104 - Virginia
Game 14 - Total 516 Passing 320 Rushing 196 - Ohio St.

we don't have any freshman starters on our team. After the schedule we have played they are all sophomores by now. So a veteran team is about to hit you in the mouth.

But that's ok, you have 2 weeks to get ready.

You should know that thr heading post was "The Clemson Program " Then your administrator edited it to read "The Clemson Program .....It's not our fault we play in a crappy conference " . So I edited it to read what it does now . I have now changed the heading back to what I originally had . I think if you read my posts you will find them to be fair and impartial .

Your team has played one game this year. One. And it got pushed around, up and down the field, and needed alot of help to escape with a win.

Y'all are gonna get smoked. If you try that whole "give us a half to get adjusted" crap, you will be down by 5 TD's

Easier to do when those big games are sporadic at best and then a couple of games at the end of the year in the playoffs.

This

Kinda reminds me of the Boise State of old. Play crappy conference schedule and then play one good team in a bowl game.

Valid point Mid Iowa Tiger . It gives us a chance to rest players , test other players , get them experience , play with gameplans . It is way easier for us to get to a playoff and I'm ok with that .

Kinda like an employee that does just enough to not get fired vs the other employee that busts his arse all the time. When a raise or promotion comes around, the just enough employee to get by decides to show up and actually bust arse. ummm yeah.

The battle tested teams. That is why the SEC won what, 7 or 8 championships at one point? It was for that exact reason. The SEC year in and year out has the most nfl draft picks. That means, sec schools are playing against future nfl competetion on a weekly basis. That hones your skills. Not playing against sisters of the poor.

Take chess for example. Do you think a good chess player gets better by playing weaker opponents all of the time? Do you think he learns anything from that? Nope.

Live these next two weeks to the fullest LSU fans. You beat Bama once in the last decade by 5 points and yet you feel good about talkin' shite. This is old hat for us. Enjoy, enjoy the next two weeks

I respectfully disagree . If battle tested was such a big deal How did we win two of the last three coming out of the ACC .

Playing LSU late in the season this year was like playing against an NFL team.
