I mean technically he did have a better QBR than Burrow last night.
Given the fact that Brennan only threw 3 passes, last night relative, to Burrow's 42 passes, your QBR comparison is hilarious.

It sounds like you are pulling for someone else to QB.

How are you capable of quantifying his “Pocket Presence” at this point? I think he will be great next year!

I’m glad he’s been getting in on some of these games. Hopefully that will help his composure when he has the reigns next year.

The game was obviously over and Oklahoma just wanted the game to end.
I am for optimism at this point of the year, drop the pessimism...

With some elite coaching from Brady,
From Brady? Uhm, Brady coaches the receivers. He doesn't coach the QBs. That's why his job title is Passing Game Coordinator. As Brady is an ex-walkon receiver who played his football at Jame Madison. He's the coach that did a wonderful job with Chase, Jefferson, and Marshall.
The QB coach is Steve Ensminger who is a former LSU QB. As he is the coach that coaches Burrow, Brennan, and Parrish. Meanwhile, judging by how well Joe Burrow has done this season, it looks to me that he does a pretty good job.

he has no pocket presence and has no ability to extend plays. Teams are going to kill us on the blitz.
he's run quite a bit this year for positive yards
not a burner but no tom brady feet either

Burrow's just a flash in the pan
Not only that. Burrow only completed 74% of his passes. Disgusting!

I think I read an article on like SI or some other place online and basically Brennan said that he wasnt really happy about Burrow coming in and taking over the team but he has learned so much about properly preparing and how to be a true quarterback by watching and being around Burrow that he is now really grateful that he has been able to learn from him. I thought that showed a lot of maturity from Brennan to be able to realize he had more to learn and he is grateful to have done it now.

I am sure he is capable of gaining 4 or 5 pounds in 10 months. I can gain that in ten days

No shite. Here's some news for you. Brady will be the OC next year.

After reading this thread, I have a few points to make.
I think Brennan will be just fine, if not much better than most think. He has a strong arm and he has learned that the most important thing is to throw an accurate, catchable ball. Not every pass need be a laser.
Scheme can help with immobility. If he can learn to get the ball out fast and accurate, we can play a more short yardage quick pass game where the ball is out within 2-3 seconds. Going five wide with the mostly crossing routes, curls and quick outs will give multiple outs for him to release quickly and avoid the need to scramble while waiting for long routes to develop.
A good running game will help him tremendously. Thankfully LSU has everything needed for a good rush attack.
Experience at receiver will help more than anybody realizes. These receivers can catch the ball. Drops kill a young quarterback’s confidence. Our receivers drop few balls. They will teach him where to go with the ball and what to look for.
We don’t need 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns to win a championship. Flynn threw for 2,407 yards and 24 touchdowns in 2007 on our way to a championship. If Brennan can throw for 3,000 yards and 30 touchdowns, along with an improved rushing attack and stout defense, we will win another championship or at least be in the competition for one.
Next year will not be Brennan’s best year. His second year as the starter will be the year he shines but I do believe he will put up at least Mett type numbers.
