With his body type, he is probably right....but, with load management a thing now, I doubt many superstars will ever play 82 games a year anymore.

I imagine most stars will never play a full 82 going forward.

If you want guys to reliably play every game of the season, you need to subtract a significant amount of games.

Kind of a strange assumption off of one injury. The thing that concerns me the most and we seen this during the preseason, is the amount of physicality Zion plays with driving to the hole and the amount of punishment he will take because he is a bigger guy. The same way Shaq use to get beat up in the post but with Zion being smaller. I hope he develops a mid range game soon.

I fully agree, but for vastly different reasons. Hopefully in the next few years we are to the point where we can load management him for 5-10 games a year and be okay without him on the court.

That can be said for 99.999% of the players in the league. He’s really stepping out with this hot take.

Jalen can be correct, but it can also be a completely irrelevant hot take. The way the league is moving nowadays towards rest, it's even less likely.

I really hate that Zion is already having to deal with this BS from the media in his rookie year. Terrible way to start his professional career on top of his injury. These types of noise Griffin tried so hard to protect him from when they landed the #1 pick has completely backfired. It’s really unfortunate to see.

Well that's because we'll rest him the last 10 or so games every year going into the playoffs after having whipped arse for the first 72...just to be fair

How long till someone says he won't ever lead a normal life and may be wheelchair bound by 25? C'mon Cowherd. This is your chance.

It's not really a hot take. He didn't mean it like Zion would be hurt every year he was saying he'll get games off, which is true. It's almost as likely that there won't be an 82 game schedule than anybody in this draft class playing 82 games a season in their career.

That's exactly how he meant it.

They might not even have 82 games in a season.

That’s not a bad thing. Most players do not play a full season

Jalen should know about how difficult that task his. Checking his record he only played in every game in 3 seasons out of a 16 year NBA career.

If he doesn't lose weight, he won't, it sucks, but it's true.
