I Want Clemson

As a warm-up act in the semis, I'd rather LSU face a relatively pocket-passer based QB in Trevor Lawrence (like LSU's defense similarly sees everyday in Burrow) as opposed to Fields, Hurts or Huntley who can be deadly with their feet when they want.
Not that Lawrence (or Burrow) don't have effective escapabilty, but Fields & Hurts are featured more with designed runs for a reason.
Huntley is vastly underrated. Dude is second only to Burrow in comp % at 75.5, so he is deadly accurate. While he isn't asked to run much, he's more electric (in acceleration) when he decides to run than Fields or Hurts. Think Plumlee acceleration.
I'd rather save that mobile-QB test, whomever it may be, for the title game.

Anyone that wants to play Clemson in Phoenix over Utah/Baylor/OU in Atlanta is a fool. End of story.
Atlanta is an easy 7 hour drive from southeast Louisiana. It would effectively be a home game for LSU against an opponent they would have solid chance of beating. If LSU beats Georgia, they will have earned this opportunity.
Clemson might be the best team in the country. Dabo will certainly have them playing as such by convincing them they've been victimized and disrespected by the committee.

I'm with you, unless its Utah.
I'd rather play Utah over Clemson but Clemson over Oklahoma. Hurts & Riley are a bad match up for us.

One thing is for sure: if the committee keeps OSU at 1 and we play Clemson, the entire team had better play with the same intensity they played A&M and then some.
If we are going to have to play Clemson, I want to see Clemson embarrassed and run off the field.
44-16 LSU would be perfect.

I want to see LSU beating the best teams in classic games.

Freek makes a good point. We will be way more focused to play Clemson over Utah. Fans would be assuming we would kill Utah and looking ahead to NOLA.
That would be a huge mistake. Utah is very talented, experienced, and well coached. Not as talented and deep as Clemson of course, but still very talented.
We shouldn’t worry about the seeds. Just get in. This could be (already is) a once in a lifetime season. We need to enjoy and savor it.

In this case, he will not be the only one that gets to use this narrative. LSU has been disrespected way more than Clemson

could make an argument for both way. I'm not really in favor of the "easiest path" if you wanna be the best play the best...if LSU managed to take down 4 georiga, 3 clemson, 1 osu its just a bonus to the greatest season ever. Ex. the alabama game i want tua 100% no excuses.

No, that’s ridiculous. Clemson has won two of the last three (or is it four) national championships. They are undefeated and are being seeded third. They are constantly being told that they haven’t played anybody. They view themselves as the king, and they have every reason to feel that way. They view us as a flash in the pan which is being rated ahead of them.

Not me.
I want to see LSU beat the beat teams in humiliating fashion.

I think LSU would beat Clemson just as easy as they would Utah or Oklahoma.
It really does not matter who our first game is.

I want as much of a guarantee as i can get to a matchup with Ohio State in the Natty. Clemson has a better chance of beating us than OU or Utah.
Its actually quite simple to understand.

Whoever gets Clemson first will be Clemson’s first gut test of the year. That has a certain appealing quality to it.

We will beat anyone we play .
We are the BEST team in the country !
I don’t care who we play .
CFP committee is giving us extra incentive.
Let them keep us at 2 after we beat Georgia’s arse .
In Coach O I Trust

LSU will be acutely pissed off if they are still ranked #2 after the SECCG.
They would be laser-focused (like the aTm game) if they had to face Clemson after that disrespect.
Trevor wouldn't know what hit him. He'd revert right back to that 50's-60's completion percentage like he was in 7 of his first 8 games this year.
