Will Georgia have success slowing LSU’s offense?

Auburn has been the only team this year to hold the LSU offense in check. And truthfully, LSU moved the ball well against them but struggled near the goal line and in 3rd and short situations.
You know Kirby will be studying that tape and try to mimic some of what Auburn did. Statistically, this will be the best defense LSU has faced, but UGA hasn’t exactly played an offense or a quarterback anywhere near the level they will see this Saturday.
Curious to hear people’s thoughts on this matchup.

Not sure UGA has the horses to create pressure up the middle without blitzing like Auburn did

Their run defense is very good. I could see them stopping the run and making LSU go down the field 5-7 yard passes at a time. Their secondary is good as well.

We struggled in the red zone with Auburn but still put up 500 yards of offense. A bunch of flukey plays happened in that Auburn game (Stingley muffed punt, Nix’s throw away that ended up being a long completion etc).
I’ll believe someone can stop this offense when I see it.

Field condition played into that AU mirage, as well
No issue in Dome
LSU will score 30+, can UGA keep pace?

I know aTm had success throwing the ball on them.

This isn’t the most important question, because they’re not going to stop our offense. Nobody is. The question is can they score more than 20 on us. Their offense has been abysmal this year. If they can hold us to under 30 points, they have a chance, because their offense getting to 30 would be a miracle.

If they can't slow us down, then we need to throw the complete defense thing out the window. There hasn't been a defense that can stop us yet. OSU should not be ranked ahead of us. This year, offense wins championship

I guess technically allowing only ~30 points to LSU would be slowing them down so.. sure

I’d expect us to put up like 31. That’s slowing us down these days

You can expect a very tough contest, but the Tigers, in the end, will have enough points on the board, even if it’s close.

I am a little nervous on this game, if anyone's D can slow it down, itll be GA's..
The key will be protecting #9 and giving him time when they only rush 4.
I would bet they have some success early, but will eventually wear down and get figured out.

Sure. I think Georgia is good enough to slow the offense down.
But they could slow it down and still give up 28-35.
I don’t think their offense can score that much

They will have some success on D, but it won’t be enough once they start to get tired. I honestly think Aranda will cause a lot of 3 and outs which will be the death nail for Georgia.

Kirby is studying how the make the field inside the dome muddy and tough to run on?

Run a dime almost the entire game if at all possible.
our backs would destroy that plus horizontal quick passes if you bring guys down in the box

try and get to the QB and just jam the everloving frick out of their receivers -- I'm talking near holding levels of physicality and hope that your blitzers get there before Burrow recognizes what the coverage is.
that will not work against WR stacks and gun snugs and bunch formations. it has already been tried. and failed.
if somehow we cannot get off quick throws against blitzers we will screen you to death. we have been sandbagging the RB screen since game 1 against GS. we can run it. we have hidden it all year as we did not need it to beat blitzes. we are also great at throwing right into where the blitz comes from with a hot route.
UGA is basically fricked if they cannot hold ball, shorten game and eat clock. that is it in a nutshell. GOOD LUCK.

hold the LSU offense in check
LSU still amassed over 500 yards and moved the ball. It was just situational stuff like the 4th and goal, 4th and one, a bad pick in the end zone.
The weather will no longer be a factor this postseason thankfully.

auburn didn't hold LSU in check, LSU had 500 total yards, just a few 4th and short plays not capitalized on

If by "slowing" you mean forcing 2 or 3 punts, then yes. If "slowing" means keeping 40 off the scoreboard, then not even close!
