If the Winston Churchill quote is true, if you arent a liberal at 20 no heart if you arent a conservative by 40, no brain...why the hell is 18 the age to vote?
Should be 30.
Should be 30.

Should be at least 30.

Because, at the time of the change, it was legal to be drafted to fight in Vietnam but not to vote.
With the draft abolished, that Amendment should probably be repealed. Instead, idiots are trying to lower it.

You should also be a taxpayer, excluding sales tax.

Another change from the same time period... you can no longer do that due to “poll taxes” and other devices to prevent people from voting being declared unconstitutional.

why do old people that can't figure out how to operate a smart phone allowed to vote.
it is America that's why.

Well if you can prevent people from owing a gun you can prevent people from voting. Both are dangerous if left to people who are not right in the head.

That is my understanding as to why as well. I agree the voting age should be raised back up to 21.

This quote is dumb
If you are a liberal at 20, no brain yet. If you’re aren’t a conservative by 40, still no brain.

You're either an adult or not.
Voting, draft, drinking, adult prison, and firearm purchase ages should all be the same.
It always cracks me up when Democrats want the tobacco purchase age to be 21 then want 16 year olds to vote.

Most of them can still form a complete sentence, though.

Should be 30 and if you pay negative income taxes or are on public assistance since the previous election you shouldn't be able to vote in the current one.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?
Are you implying that our House/Senate folks have never erred?
Glad you were not around during Prohibition and Slavery.

If you don't own property, you shouldn't be able to vote on property taxes too
