re: Kapernick is either a fool or he isn't serious about wanting to get back into football..

Did he ever actually protest about being oppressed by white people? That's a Facebook meme. Wasn't his protest over police brutality? Who have many, many black officers?
It seems like he views himself as a modern day slave or someone being held down. Showing up for his widely publicized "workout" in a Kunta Kinte shirt is pretty damn telling as well as telling owners to stop "running from the truth" (whatever the frick that means). The whole thing just screams that he's looking for attention and actually playing football is on the back burner

Apparently we're both wrong.
NBC Sports
He doesn't specifically mention race at all. Maybe he did elsewhere. Seems like it was more of an issue with the power structure in this country.

But for Kaepernick, it was never a police issue.
“I’ve been very clear from the beginning that I’m against systematic oppression,” Kaepernick said. “Police violence is just one of the symptoms of that oppression. For me that is something that needs to be addressed but it’s not the whole issue.”
Kaepernick said he has been in touch with groups and individuals in Chicago, which has been plagued with gun violence in general. The goal is to support those groups trying to effect change and that has been Kaepernick’s end game as well, he said.
“For me, I want to try help create change and also help empower other people, other organizations, that are doing the work to continue to do the work, and people that aren’t, to get involved to help create that change,” Kaepernick said. “Because this isn’t something that’s going to be changed by one person or a couple of people. It’s going to take communities coming together and creating the change that needs to be made, and the country coming together.”

The Twitter banter bw Eric Reid and Stephen A Smith is very entertaining. All the black people have seemed to turn on Stephen A. Basically Eric Reid and tons of others calling Stephen A 'Uncle Tom' when Eric Reid is literally collecting a check from the NFL.

Slavery to me isn't specifically a race issue, though that's how its perceived in this country typically always. Wage slavery is a concept not based off of race at all. I just enjoy playing devil's advocate.

Nike is happy with him. Nike = $
Until Nike becomes unhappy, big haired dude gets $ and gets to sleep in on Sundays.

The difference though is they tried to include a "gotcha" clause to cut off any further suits from him.
Didnt he fricking settle the suit?
How many more times can he sue them for the same damn thing? I mean if he is being blackballed every day then he can file a new suit every day???

They settled with him, but yeah. I have no idea how many times you can do it. I assume something has to change but I'm no lawyer. Seems like the NFL just wanted to attempt to force him to agree to forgo all future litigation attempts in order to participate in their workout.

I’m as anti Kaep as the next guy but this workout seemed pretty sketchy from the NFL’s side.
I’m not 100% sure they were trying to do right by him or give him a fair chance.
No one believes 25 teams were interested in a QB ,let alone Kaepernick after 3 years.

I don't even consider myself anti-Kaep. The kneeling stuff never bothered me. I wanted to see him play again because he did have thay 1 really good season.
He was not black balled as his team likes to put it. Teams just decided he wasn't good enough of a player to deal with his extra antics that he will bring. That does not equal collusion of all 32 teams teaming up to say no one will allow Kaep to play again. I don't even think the owners like each other enough have that sort of teamwork.
This past workout proves how much of a dumbass he is. An NFL workout id basically akin to a job interview in thw real world. What does Kaep do at his job interview? Change details (time and place) of his interview forcing the employer to bend to his needs and wants. Wears a shirt alluding to slavery. Then basically goes to insult his potential employer directly after the interview.
What job do you know would hire someone after all that

If he were serious about football he would already be playing.

People always fricking forget that part.
And that his ORIGINAL "protest" was literally just him sulking on the bench by himself.

Some are conflating the league's devious behavior on concussions with this issue, it's not useful in my opinion. The only way to maintain reasoning is to evaluate based on evidence on a per case basis.
As others have said, two wrongs don't make a right... but two Wrights did make an airplane. See how I separated those two issues ?

Absolutely

other than Eric Reid, does he have any supporters left?
His two biggest boosters were Stephen A Smith and Peter King, both massive liberals, and both of them basically said they had enough of his antics.

Say what? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I think that fits a lot more appropriately with the NFL.
