Do U feel like O wants to win a title for himself or the Glory of The State of La?

The answer is obvious. We basically have a man motivated by love of his state and his heritage- an LSU Superfan running the program. He wants to bring glory to his state, his family and friends, the memory of his father and grandfather , the entire Institution and what it represents , our traditions, our hospitality culture, our tailgating, our fight song, our uniforms, our oak trees, our swamps, our food etc. It’s personal. It’s a love affair. He is us.
Can you say the same about a guy like Tiny Nick? This is our edge. It’s not only one team one heartbeat, it’s a unification of the entire LSU football culture, the coaches, players, fans etc. It is UNITY.
Respect and affection to all my Tiger brothers and sisters on this auspicious occasion.

I honestly think he doesn’t give a shite about himself. It’s all about the players and the Star of Louisiana for him

His mom said in an interview EDs won these things for himself at other programs.
He now wants to win one for the kids on his team. Thus they can feel what he has felt.

Himself more than the school. But if he wins I don't care. Saban does the same.

O has said many times about winning for the players and the state of Louisiana! Spoken like a true Louisiana man!

And this comes across when he visits recruits and their parents.
I bet when he walks in their living rooms they feel like he is one of them.

We should always hire who is best for LSU and not just someone who is 'one of us.' But it appears that these just may be the same person

Wait. I though "he's one of us" was a bad thing.
All kidding aside, the guy loves the state, culture, his team, the institution . . .
I know all the angst with his hire and I was skeptical, but on the "wait and see" side of the equation, but I love having a guy committed to the state running the program. I love the sports psychology bc it mirrors military psychology. Having read and taken courses on officership/leadership, I can tell you the most basic constant is "know yourself and know your men".
O gets that and when you do it becomes exponentially easier to develop a team based mission focus.

Coach O and Steve Ensminger are 2 of the most unselfish people I’ve seen at LSU, and their unselfishness, and passion for LSU and this state I truly believe is infectious and spreads to the rest of the team.

Coach O wants to feel vindicated and to prove his worth, his whole life he’s been told he wasn’t good enough. It was proven at Ole Miss and his critics pointed the finger and said I told you so, now the tables have turned and he’s comin’ and he won’t be denied.

It's never about Ed O. It's always about the players, the coaching staff, the fans, and the state of Louisiana. As he knows, just like Joe Burrow also knows as well, that accolades only come when they are earned.
