They don't sound like libertarians, just self-important pricks who probably favor socialist fiscal policy despite what they say.

It doesn’t. I know they are an enemy to my freedom.

The GOP has lied to me enough.

Remember them whining about not being able to repeal ACA when Obama was president and then not even being able to pass a bill that Trump could sign? They didn’t want to repeal ACA, they just wanted to use it to fire up their voters.

And I could keep going.

I don’t owe them my loyalty just because the appear to be ‘better’.

I remember voting for W and then watching him turn around and bloat government and work with Ted fricking Kennedy to expand programs.

I voted for those sad sacks McCain and Romney.

Once I even voted for that waste Lindsey Graham. And that SJW Nikki Haley.

Never again for me.

They were all better than the alternative. But yeah, go vote for those Democrats, they'll do whats best for you and the country

So their opponents would have been better?

How? McCain eventually voted against repealing Obamacare and Romney provided the damn model for it in Massachusetts. And we're not even talking foreign policy. There's nothing America First about either of those neocons.

Not at all. But why should I keep supporting a party that keeps thinking I am too stupid to see how they are lying to me?

For that matter, why should any of you?

I have a related deeper philosophy beyond the scope of this thread at play also

Its not that hard to figure out. And dont use Romney and McStain as examples. They were dogshit but still better than fricking OBAMA

I think your posts are solid AF.

But it doesn't help the cause when "libertarians" like aggiehank are carrying the flag.

Neocons are a HUGE problem, but so are "pretend conservatives" or whatever the hell hank is.

Honestly I don’t think Romney/Ryan would’ve been that much different than Obama.

Electing McCain would have resulted in no Obamacare. That would have been worth it. He'd have also been forced more to the right because he desired re-election.

Would they have cut a deal with Iran that basically let them off the hook for sanctions and sent a ton of money their way?

Because that is at least one major issue where I don’t think Romney screws the pooch.

Eh...that’s pretty bad. I assume that any time a vote is split it usually favors democrats, so I’d imagine democrats will be all for libertarians running.

The Republican Party spat on Ron Paul. They banned him from a debate and talked up statists like Romney, Rudy and McCain to talk about how many wars they wanted and how big the surveillance state would be. The Ron Paul folks understood in 2007 what most Trump supporters now know: political ideology in Washington is irrelevant. Donald Trump could cure cancer and they'd hate him, because he isn't a member of their club and he threatens their gravy train. It's why McCain despised him. It's why Romney despises him. It's why the Bush clan despises him. It's why the neocons who ran the Bush administration are Democrats now.

Maybe? His reactions and responses the last few years don’t give me any confidence he would stand strong on anything

I think the only time in history a split helped Republicans was Nader in 2000.
