I’m glad I quit drinking beer before these people went off the deep end. If I want rum and cookies I’ll stop at Calandros for a bottle of Captain Morgan and buy a box of thin mints from the Girl Scout selling at the door.
And I hate a frikking Mounds Bar.

In my opinion, it's kind of a f.u. to your local community, the ones that want to support you.
That's actually a really good point and I never thought about it that way.. And every brewery around wants to beat you over the head with "drink local beer" shite.

Meh cost of hops and other extracts keeps rising they will eventually raise prices. Ghost is still a reasonable 10.99-11.99

And apparently I’m on some negative shite tonight, but I’m drinking 10/7 Ghost and it tastes malty as hell.
Heh. Where’s Andrews make ghost great again hat?

I have some from July and it still tastes like god’s nectar.

Anyway it will sell and it will be 80-90 a bottle on the secondary market as well.
This seems like the goal for Parish. Got to get "buzz".

considering how much profit they are making off a product that didn't cost them that much to make, is somewhat off-putting
what an odd thing to be put off by. They only get it cause people like the posters here are dum...I mean enthusiastic enough to pay so much for it. While I see your point, I don't think I could ever fault someone for making as much profit as they can in business. given its ethical and in the confines of the law.

Craft breweries: Yall need to drink local beer...support us!!!
Also craft breweries: This weekend were rolling out our experimental pumpkin banana saison aged in pappy barrels with coffee sourced from a organic farm in Guatemala run by blind farmers..... $25 a crowler!!!!

Agreed. I'm not paying $35 for a bottle of beer, but more power to them if others are willing to do it.

Tigerdroppings: I want you to sell me that beer at a loss, because I've been drinking other beer from you for years, so I'm entitled.

I don’t understand the hate. There are many breweries that put out barrel aged brews for $40/bottle. Prairie Ales puts out 12oz bottles for $14/bottle. I don’t flinch cause their shite is good.

Or maybe, give me a beer with less over the top ingredients so you can sell it at a palatable price...but it sells so I guess they really shouldn't change a thing....just my opinion

that would be Bud, Miller, Coors, etc.

no... it would be selling a $10-15 bottle of barrel aged whatever instead of a $30 one

Parish sells beers like that too. Ghost is a great example of a reasonably priced dipa.

Just saw that Toppling Goliath is releasing Assassin for $50 a bottle. Crazy. Not for me I guess.
