I'll be taking Control Systems PE. If anyone has taken it already I'd love some feedback.

I’ll be there. For the third time. Power.

Nah, ever since the physical fitness test I hated PE.

Glad I got that party put of the way. That day sucked all the way around. I did civil/structural.
I remember 3 things from that day...
1)Morning portion was mostly stright out of the CERM. Walked into lunch thinking I aced it.
2)Afternoon portion walked out thinking I didnt ace it
3)I drank a lot that night

I have a sample problem book that's supposedly straight from previous exams. Worked through it and bringing it with me in hopes its very similar problems with different variables.
If not at least I'll know what to expect taking it a second time
Definitely going to drink the pain away after though

Took it 2 years ago in civil. Glad I'm done with that.

Prayers sent
Passed the April 2012 exam, not planning to do that again.

It took me two times. Good luck to everyone taking it this week.

There's a guy here that takes it at least 5 times per night!

Good luck, brother.
Looks like Control Systems is still pencil-and-paper. To me, that's a good thing. A lot of the PE Exams are being transitioned to computer-based format. I'm glad I snuck in before my discipline was transitioned over. As long as you're comfortable with your references that you'll have for the exam and have worked a lot of practice problems and old exams, you should do fine.
One thing to remind yourself is that there is plenty of time to do the exam. I didn't take Control Systems, but my advice is to go through the exam and answer the ones you know and can answer quickly. Mark the others to indicate whether you can work them with a little effort/time, or whether the question will require a lot of time to work. On your second pass through, answer the ones that take minimal effort.
Then start on the others.
I kept a tally as I went along in each session (morning/afternoon) of the number of questions I felt really confident that I answered correctly. It gave me a lot of confidence that I would pass, and eased the anxiety when I was down to the remaining questions that I wasn't totally sure on how to best approach.
Once I was confident that I had enough answered where I'd pass, I wasn't so worked-up over those final irritating questions they throw on there. I convinced myself to give it a good effort on some of those and made educated guesses on a few. I ended up walking out with about an hour remaining and passed on my first attempt.
Good luck!!

I'm waiting till April. Heard it'll be a beast this year though. But if you know that reference manual you should be gold

Best of luck. Been many years since I passed it but I certainly have sympathy for anyone who has to take it.

I’m taking the Civil-Geotechnical exam. So far I feel 100% confident I will be re-taking it again next year haha. Took all week off work to study some more. Hoping you did more prep than I did. Good luck!

Got my results today. In shock that I actually passed.

Has the PE become desired in the last 20 years? I missed the FE by 2 points before I graduated, but the feeling then was you only needed PE if you wanted to stamp drawings.
