He’s definitely done much better than what he did at Ole Miss. but I also wonder if maybe ole miss is just impossible to be successful at without having prostitutes hired.

Motherfricker you're stupid. He is the head coach at LSU. He does alot that you don't know about bc you're an idiot. He recruits his arse off and gets the most out of his coaches and players...he's also coaching the dline. He does what he's supposed to do. That's what a head coach does. fricking moron.

The HC has done an incredible job thus far. But it's an incomplete grade right now.

We have a rare talent at QB, arguably putting up the single greatest season at QB for LSU.

Ultimately the HC will be judged on how far he can take this rare talent, because we don't know when we'll ever see it again. I think we'd all be disappointed if we didn't even make the playoffs with this type of offensive proficiency.

The main thing about him is that he is willing to take suggestions and evolve and he’s not stuck in his ways

Top flight head coach

Let’s revisit that assessment after we beat Bama and win the west. Top-flight head coaches normally own hardware. imo

Yeah. O shut us up.

I really thought the transition to a different offense - a modern one - would require a 1-2 year growth period. I was okay with that, even if it meant losses.

Naw. O shifted gears without a hiccup. It’s crazy. I cannot think of a single head coach of a major program who has done what O has done.

Crazy.

This is just so pathetic! I’m embarrassed for you. Your life must suck!

All true, but consider this. He could have settled for Narcisse, Brennan or McMillan, but he went outside the box and got a grad transfer off the OSU bench. He could have gone out and paid for a flashy OC with bug name recognition. Instead he gets an assistant off the Saints no one has heard of and couldn't even agree on what his job was with the Saints.

Instead of going for a single, O swung for the fences and knocked it out of the park.

I think most felt the way I did. Like I said, I just thought it would be more of the same Les Miles shite and we’d stay around the 8 to 10 wins per season range.

Sure, there were some that absolutely hated the hire and thought he would ruin LSU, but you probably would have had those types regardless of who was hired

I know I'm different then 99% of the posters on here and admit I was wrong about Coach O . Since the start of last year, he's 5-1 vs Top 10 teams (only loss to Bama). Same number of Top 10 wins as Dabo/Riley/Kirby combined over the same stretch
I'm glad Jimbo went to A&M and Herman went to UT

I don't think those guys were an option. We all saw that spring game. If he'd gone with one of them, he may very well have been unemployed again by now. I think he knew that his job depended on finding a solution at QB.

It worked out for both sides, Burrow needed to catch on with a major program and we needed a legitimate QB in the worst way.

I'm going to wait until season's end to make my judgment. Let's not forget that he had an opportunity to play Bama in TS last season with the SEC on the line and failed. Though I'm happy with where we stand, we haven't won anything yet.
