re: Trump says Steve Kerr looked “like a little boy” trying not to offend China

So Trump thinks Kerr knows something about China based on prior comments about the US.
I think the problem most people have is that Kerr and Popovich will open their traps about tenuous at best "problems" to virtue signal, but are completely silent about real, well known, horrific human rights violations because they don't want to anger the money people in the NBA.
They are "brave" when its easy and completely silent when its hard, the very definition of pussy virtue signalers.

Yeah I'll agree with that.

We have a whole thread rightly blasting pop for turning a question on the China situation into an opportunity to bash trump.
Trump gets asked "Do you think it's ok for China to pressure the NBA?" and his response is "Kerr is a bitch and so is pop a little bit ok next topic please"

Yup.
So we got the NBA spreading their cheeks for China, Kerr pussing out in response, Pop using the whole thing to bash Trump, and Trump using it to bash Pop/Kerr.
Politics aside, it's all kinda hilarious tbh

Because he's a giant bag of shite.
I can't wait until he's replaced by a normal, boring human being, who only talks about Pop and Steve Kerr when they swing by the White House after winning a gold medal or an NBA title. I'm afraid this frickhead has fricked up America permanently.

I was hoping for some fireworks re:trump. Was just hoping he'd have given a little bit of a harder stance against china's actions on this situation and then dared kerr and pop to take an opposite stance.

That's the ingredient I feel like everyone's missing. Kerr ducked it, Pop ignored it, and Trump ignored it.
To be fair, at least Trump has been willing to take China to task over trade, but on this particular issue, the elephant in the room is China's disregard for human rights RE: HK demonstrators, and major players who've commented so far haven't been willing to take that head on.

Trump is a response to those who politicized and fricked up america. For years and years everyday middle-class, non-coastal Americans were the punching bags for the Hollywood/professional sports types.
Trump is finally vocalizing what so many regular folks wanted to say for years. People who just wanted to watch basketball and not be lectured. People who just wanted to go enjoy a movie and not be lectured.
Those frickhead elitists ruined america. Not Trump.
