104.5 - The talent and abilities of the Utah St quarterback are comparable to Aub’s and Fla’s talented running and passing quarterbacks. This is a really good test for LSU’s defense to see how much they can contain him.

Indeed. This is a great opportunity coming off the bye for the defense to reestablish itself.

Agree.
But the word is "lost".

Good warmup against a legit team comparable to what we’ll face in the coming weeks.

That should be the word for next week. Wake Forest is undefeated though.

This will be our second toughest OOC game

Look forward to seeing what Aranda has developed or changed on defense. Also LSU will use more backup receivers early because of the injuries. Tigers better have good hands in this one. Utah St can score.

Tough not to be considering the others in competition for that spot are Georgia Southern (1-3) and Northwestern State (0-5).

Frankly, I'm tired of hearing about how good Utah state is. It's fricking Utah State. They are not good. You can hype them all you want but it does not make it true

I get he had NFL hype but love has 6 TDs 5 picks and he’s 89th in QBR.

Aranda should dominate.

If you’re getting tired of hearing how good Utah St is, then don’t attend the game, it might upset you.

I’ve watched their games. They are an ok team. Shouldn’t be close. They don’t have much talent for Love to throw to. He’s 60% completion with 6TD and 5Int. Not exactly lighting it up.

9th in Total Offense (12th in Passing O)
19th in Scoring Offense

57th in Total Defense (103rd in Passing D)
43rd in Scoring Defense

LSU should be able to pass and score at will against them.

However, this will be a pretty decent test for our defense, with an offense that is, by the raw numbers, as good as Texas'.

They only scored 24 on San Diego State.

They only scored 34 on Colorado State. Arkansas scored 55 on Colorado State.

I mean they aren't bad but are they good?

A scare might not be a bad thing for the LSU defense.

You saw what Vandy did on their first drive, also LSU’s offense may be out two starting receivers. Glad to see others getting experience but they better catch the damn ball!

I don't know, they have had plenty of negative feedback. I would prefer them have a great game and gain some confidence in themselves and the system.

And don't forget the back up wide receiver will be suspended for the first half for targeting last game.

If LSU was playing Wake Forest, I'd still be unconcerned.

I watched their entire game against CSU.

Their running game is almost exactly similar to ours except their starter #1 never came out the game. Dude gets 95% of the snaps. The sets that they run the ball in as almost exactly the same as ours.

I was not impressed with their o line. CSU was able to get pressure some plays by just rushing 3. (CSU runs a 3-4 like us)

Love has an awful tendency of staring down and stying in the pocket for way to long. His 2 picks in the CSU game were both 10 yd outs throwing opposite side of the field.

Love will throw bombs that’s for sure and that will help us greatly because that is Auburn’s entire passing game right now. I saw have Fulton, Stingley and Flott jam the receiver the entire game. Don’t run any zone play with Delpit over the top. I’d much rather get a 10/15 yd PI than a 30/40 yd bomb.
