Works for me. I love how as recent as 5 years ago anyone who watched baseball in south Louisiana was either a Yankees or Red Sox fan. Now that the Astros and Braves are good in recent memory, people have jumped those bandwagons.

The Stros bandwagon is sickening. Very few gave a shite about the Stros here in Louisiana until they were in the WS. I have some friends who watch the illegal streams during the 100-loss seasons because of the blackout, but now everyone has "always been a Stros fan". Before that though most folks were wearing the pinstripes or a member of Red Sox Nation.

I've been a Braves fan my whole life and now that they're good again, I've noticed the bandwagon hasn't been as big because most Louisiana people are riding the Astros one now. It's nice.

A lot of my buddies that used to not give two shits about MLB are now decked out in Astros gear and follow the team religiously.

Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s just funny.

Hey, didn't you drop this earlier in the season?

Why do people not from Chicago love the cubs so much? Never understood that at all. I know a bunch of people in BR who are obsessed with the cubs. They are stupid and make me cringe.

Excuse me, that's "my Cubbies".

I don't live in Louisiana, nor am I a fan of the Astros, but I would think there are a fair amount of people who started following them once Bregman took off. For people who have no inherent reason to follow a professional team, following a team where great player from their college team plays isn't all that unusual or dumb.

Regardless, my family is from Louisiana, and I know plenty of them who have been Astros fans for decades. It's the closest baseball franchise to South Louisiana. It's not like it's out of left field. Just like a huge chunk of the SE United States are Braves fans. Naturally, people are more vocal when their team is winning, but that could be said of all sports fan bases.

I actually like miller park a lot. Tailgating scene is top notch and the fans are really friendly (and packer fans, bonus).

Perhaps you're right, it probably does look better in person.

As far as tailgating goes, I would expect nothing less out of the land of cheese curds, sausage, and beer. If it's anything friends and family from there have told me, it's on my bucket list to visit.

Loved those guys. I made a shirt back then that said:

"You Fontenot who Theriot is? THIS GUY!" (it was back when the "this guy/girl" shirts were big.)

Also, just saw on Twitter...The Riot is still beloved in Chicago. Picture is from today.

Five hours before game time and I already saw my Theriot jersey of the day. Next up: Fukudome.

I'm a Cubs fan, and I love Kyle Schwarber - but Amir Garrett's reaction is freaking hilarious.

Theriot was loved in Chicago for the way he played. He was also hated. Especially when he played for the Cardinals and stated that he was on the "right side of the rivalry."

I'll always love Theriot bc what he did while at LSU, and he was a Cub.

No, you need to know what the hell you’re talking about before posting smartass comments. See photo below. Pussy arse Schwarber doesn’t want none either.

I’m for all of it. I’m for guys celebrating however they want and for other players having a problem with it when they think it goes too far. It’s the yin and the yang. It makes for good TV.

What I don’t understand is how Brian McCann became the poster boy in some people’s eyes for the unwritten rules enforcer. Out of the hundreds of times players have had a problem with how another player acted McCann does something once and all of a sudden he’s the poster boy.
