LSU’s Joe Burrow this year could legitimately throw for 7,000 yards?

If LSU allowed Joe Burrow to play every snap at QB, allowed him to sling it like he’s capable of the entire game, Joe could probably average around 475 yards passing a game. The cupcake games, he’d average a lot more. But if his total average was 475 yards per game, over 15 games which include the playoffs, Joe Burrow would have thrown for 7,125 yards!

Possible, very improbable. Let's say 350/game for 15 games for 5,250. 55 TD's 10 INT's.

Won't happen. Anytime LSU gets a lead, Myles is coming in. Better to get significant playing time for the heir at QB than getting yards for the present one.

I know LSU would never allow it, Brennan rightfully needs his snaps for next year. But with LSU’s fast pace offense, Joe’s accuracy and LSU’s talented receivers, you start doing numbers in your head, and start to ask is passing for 7,000 yards in the SEC possible? Fun just thinking how talented and entertaining Joe and this offense are.

Everyone likes Burrow. We're extremely lucky to have him.

If we get up big, Brennan will come in for those reps that he needs as well.

Here's your problem. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I know it involves something missing in your head.

I hear you OP, but Myles needs reps and Burrow will see fewer than half the 4th quarters this season.

Burrow is averaging only 30 attempts per game. Haskins averaged 41 attempts, and had 4831 yds in 14 games. (His backup got very few reps.)

Burrow and Brennan combined should easily throw for over 4000 yards this season. Very good chance that Burrow, alone, will throw for over 4000 without playing many full games,

All I want is Burrow to pass the single season passing yards in LSU History. So he needs about 3,400 yards.

Individual stats are OK to talk about, but LSU getting into the playoffs is what’s important!

So you're telling the jury, "it is possible" if Joe is given the opportunity. Thank you! The defense rest.

When you go to post a topic at 1:14am, it’s probably crap and you should go to bed.

Joe is not throwing for 475 a game. Joe Burrow is not the greatest QB to ever exist.
