It's the primary reason I believe in time travel. I'm convinced there's a Marty McFly type setting the lines for these games.

Alabama stopped SC on 4th down to win by 30 or whatever it was but got called for targeting and gave SC another play with seconds left, which they turned into a TD.

Then do they set some lines wrong on purpose on to frick with people. I.e. UCF -9.5

That was a more entertaining game than the scoreboard shows.

That was all part of their calculations

Absolutely. That's just to keep people from getting suspicious. They aren't fooling me though.

This is why I don't gamble at the casino or make bets with a bookie or anything. I'd rather play poker with friends or have a pick 'em pool. That way if I lose it's going to someone I know lol

There was a stat posted last year and the record of underdogs vs favorites covering over the past I think 10 years and it was literally 0.500. And the o/u wasn't too far from 0.500 either.

The average difference in the final score and the spread in the NFL, over a 20 year span, was 10 points. It was higher in college. That’s the reason you are allowed to bet teasers.
You only think they are ridiculous because you remember all the times they hit it on the nose and also because humans aren’t smart. For every -7 fav that wins by 7, there are 10 games that land no where near the spread.
