I find it difficult to believe someone crazy enough to opt for a mass shooting is also logical enough to pick weapon free targets.

These people go for locations where there are tons of people in relatively tight spaces. Whether there are guns allowed or not doesn't seem to be a factor.

Why is it then that over 90% of these incidents take place where guns are banned?
And if they were crazy enough to want to maximize casualty, wouldnt potential of armed opposition be one of the first considerations? Duh.

Crazy =/= stupid. In fact, it is often the opposite.

Crowded places with guns: gun shows, police stations, shooting ranges, hunting clubs. Name me one mass shooting that has occurred at any of those. I'll wait.
