Except for Alaska, all of those states are also in the top states in fast food restaurants per capita. Louisiana, as many as we have seems to be the least offensive, but I guess we make up for it in fried shite everywhere you turn.

Obesity is a socioeconomic issue, which isn't something anyone is surprised at. I'm in my mid 20s, make good money, and live in a nice area. Not only are all of my friends not fat, but there is a very strong fitness culture in the group . Everyone is either working out, on whatever the new fad diet is, or training for marathons on the weekends. The only time I ever see fat people is when I go shopping at Walmart or a similar store.
The obesity problem is out in the country and in the ghettos impacting our black women. You'll solve obesity when you solve the stagnant middle class.

It's processed food disease. The long term chronic condition of consuming processed foods is metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome presents itself in the form of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, anxiety, depression, etc.
Europeans are still eating real food for the most part. Unprocessed meats, vegetables, fruits, etc. That's why they are skinnier than Americans.

Iowa.
Not as much morbid obesity but everyone is sort of tall and doughy.

How does Hawaii of all places end up ranking that high on the less than 1 fruit per day ranking?

Funny, before reading I figured it had something to do with not only fat white people, but blood from the indigenous, which would include our southern neighbors.
The states in the top have plenty of both.

I call BS on this list. I'm from Wisconsin and despite what they may think, a hot toddy or apple pie doesn't count as fruit

And the Italian diet is full of carbs and fats. Except they are less sedentary and their food is high quality and not processed shite.

Yeah. I’m 5’11” 242 and every chart says I’m like morbidly obese. I know I need to lose 20-30 pounds but I ain’t morbidly obese. I’m in better shape than most people.
I’d look sick at 190.

Well it does say obese. But I still have to think about completely shredded body builders. Doesn't mean they are healthier carrying that weight, or that they used a healthy route to get so big.
But you can tell when someone is obese by just looking at them.
