Frick GM. They've been dealing with this for years and won't acknowledge it.

if you park your truck exposed to sunlight and your dashboard isnt falling apart after ten yours then you are damn lucky
you only got 7 years so thats below average but you are also lucky because they still have replacements for it.
when mine broke in half it was 12 years old and there was no replacement option except have a shop build one hand made for about $7k

Fifteen years on my truck, and eleven years on gf's Lexus, and no cracking. Both parked in the sunlight all day, every day. Certain materials crack, and manufacturers know what they are. They choose to use that stuff

my 2010 gmc developed cracks with months of me buying it. GM replaced it under warranty and it took them two days to do it. Are the gm dashes the new dodge dash of the 90's ?

If you have any local meth head tweakers. They can have that dash changed in one night guaranteed!! Just got to give thme $40 up front so they are in the right frame of mind when they arrived to do it. and then $40 upon completion.

I tackled my wife's 2015 Tahoe dash which had cracked around the airbag exactly as show in the video. I followed this guys instructions LINK. Purchased the Astro 7600 Hot Staple Gun off of Amazon for $90 bucks or so and used JB weld for plastic, etc instead of the high end adhesive he used. Other than skinned knuckles and a little cussing, it wasn't that bad of a repair and it came out great. Just for fun, I had the dealer quote the dash change and it was north of $1K. I also found the GM replacement dash online and the part was around $400 or so but you still have to reinforce it or it will crack again. Good Luck!
