Easily the most manly film ever made.

I'm still confused as to what Dutch and his team were. They were either Delta Force or ex-military turned mercenaries, because Dutch references turning down the Libya job because they were a rescue team, not assassins. Obviously Jim Hopper's team were Green Berets out of Fort Bragg and ordered down there.

John McTiernan should be a household name with Predator, Red October, Die Hard, Last Action Hero, etc.

The action pieces are awesome, Arnold's dialogue is great. The part of them crawling to the guerrilla base was cool af. Dillon had the best death in the film. And of course, the deforestation scene...

I was actually about to post this myself so thank you for the good timing. Just showed it to my girlfriend (no pics) yesterday for the first time. It is peak 80s testosterone and fun action.

So much muscles and gun play.

Arnold being a badarse

Never gets old. One of the most rewatchable action movies

Definitely on my Mount Rushmore of action movies

there should have been a prequel about Dutch and his team's missions. Maybe having them doing "clear and present danger" type ops against drug lords and how they evolved into just a rescue squad.

Awesome action film, it supposed to be classified as a sci-fi but whatever. My favorite action movie. Doesn’t go over the top much, builds good suspense by not showing much of the predator til later, like Jaws. Big tough guys doing big tough guy stuff without much of the cheesiness the can accompany a movie like this.

Always thought this was the logical explanation, however they still call each other by rank. Probably a private group like Blackwater was that was hired to do covert rescue missions around the world without being directly linked to the US Military.

Being one of my favorite movies of all time, it would have still been badass if it was just about them fighting guerrillas in Central America.

One of the greatest action films ever. Feel bad for my friends who won’t watch it because they think it’s a cheesy B level movie. fricking losers

As great an action movie it is for its time (and today), the stink of the Predator movies that followed is just as hard to forget.

Is there any other movie made where 2 of the actors became governors of states?

One of my favorites. Honest Trailer has it right.

I think it’s crazy how the sequels water down the “prized” character.
Predator: Arnold
Predator 2: Danny Glover
Predators: Adrien Brody
The Predator: An autistic 8 year old
Predator 2022: A hamster? Kitten perhaps?

Ok, I'll agree followed closely by Die Hard and Bruce Willis. Walking barefoot on that broken glass was manly also.
