71 when I’m at home.. 73 when I’m gone to work.

Good Grief. Why? Are you cheap? Do you enjoy being miserable and making others miserable?

75 when no-one is home and 71 when we are home.

Bingo. My philosophy is a person can always put on more clothes, but they can only take so many off so keep it the AC effing low.
I'd be tempted to walk around this dudes house in my boxers to prove a point.

maybe I'm just not thinking straight, but what would be the logic in this? Why would you want it hotter when you're there than when you're not?
I actually do not follow the Department of Energy’s recommendation of raising your thermostat temperature 4 degrees at bedtime. This is a function of your body’s thermoregulation at nighttime.

You know there's studies that a person sleeps better when the temp is under 70 at night?

I feel extremely comfortable personally. I know my kids need a blanket in the afternoon if a thunderstorm rolls through and the inside temp drops around 75.

At 79 at night, you would want me to leave.

Pretty much always at 72 day and night during the summer when we are home. Bump it up to 77 while we are at work during the day

75 during the day, and I work from home and have a kid running around, 68 at night. Tons of big pines around my house though, so it stays relatively cool
