'Equal Pay' chants following U.S. Victory

This isn't quite Politics and its not MSB, but I try and stay away from the soccer board. So O-T it is.
Does the female team generate as much money as the men's team? Are they responsible for higher revenues and higher TV ratings? Would anyone care if the USMNT was as good as the women's?

U.S. players are currently suing their own federation for gender discrimination, even as the two sides prepare for a New York City parade on Wednesday.
quote:
Within moments of the final whistle, a spokesperson for the U.S. women's players association released a statement contending the 2-0 win and all that went with it was further proof that the men's and women's national teams should be paid equally.
"At this moment of tremendous pride for America, the sad equation remains all too clear, and Americans won't stand for it anymore," the statement read. "These athletes generate more revenue and garner higher TV ratings, but get paid less simply because they are women. It is time for the federation to correct this disparity once and for all."

FIFA will award $30 million in prize money for the Women's World Cup. The men received $400 million last year. Infantino said this week he wants to double the prize money for the women's tournament by the next edition in 2023, but the gap between the genders could actually grow with FIFA expected to award $440 million for the men's tournament in 2022.

The wnba loses money. Should they be paid as much as the men?

They should be paid based off the revenue they actually bring in
A player from the WNBA should not be making the same as a NBA player.

Than the men.
Why is it hard to believe? The men didn’t make the World Cup, the women win it

Which would be relevant if this was about the wnba

They should be paid exactly the same as whatever age/level of men that they can beat.

I’m curious if the men can counter sue. It’s simple economics and eyes on tv and everything else.
FIFA paid the Women’s champion $4 mil and the men’s $38 mil.
They are asking for money they don’t deserve and that isn’t there unless you drop the men’s pay.

They are paid based off of what the women’s World Cup brings in...money is divided up between countries I believe
Obviously that amount is significantly less than the men
This doesn’t include endorsements obviously, let them go bitch at woke arse Nike I guess

The men generate way, way, way more revenue in every way nearly every year. 2018 was an exception since the men didn’t make th WC. So when you see that quote it’s one year out of however many.

Quoting this to preserve the stupidity.

Why are they acting like there is a conspiracy to not pay the women the same? There has to be financial reasoning behind it, whether it be from TV revenue, ad revenue, ticket sales, etc.

They'd be amateurs then.
Which is about right.

Women's sports don't generate as much as money as men's. I'm pretty sure that's across the board.

This is clearly political. Its also dealing with soccer. God damn you soccer sjws are a pain. go get fricked. There was an article written during the last world cup why the 'pay gap'. No.... I wont link it cause I saw and read the article. Perhaps you should do a search on that Google thing and find out why.

And 2018 wasn’t even a WC year for the women, so it’s not like they had some major tournament that pushed them over the top vs the pitiful men’s squad who can’t even qualify for the WC
