How is that messed up? They were designed for use in prisons, few changes in over 30 years or more. They are as close to indestructable as you can get. They just plain do the job and cannot easily be torn apart to make weapons from.

Good gosh. ITS NOT MEANT TO BE A DRINKING FOUNTAIN. There is a notice that the water is potable. If the urge hits you to fill up a cup there.. go at it.
It’s completely amazing though that the water is cleaner from there than the faucet at a Mexican resort. You are advised to NOT drink the water anywhere out of the public system in Mexico..... yet there is hysteria that a sink to wash your freaking hands in on a toilet fixture is labeled Potable.
Rub two brain cells together people. Here is one example of how someone got duped.

A similar setup is pretty standard in Japanese homes as half batch, where a faucet dispenses water to the bowl and you can wash your hands with the new water as it fills the bowl. Saves water, space, metal, and plumbing cost.
What a shithole of a place Japan is, right? How cruel for people to buy one of those for their place?
The one they're bitching about even has an actual faucet and sink. Real fricked up.

Not messed up at all. It’s an efficient use of space for a temporary situation. It’s not the ritz and it shouldn’t be.
What IS messed up is politicians lying about it while still expecting more to he done for people who are not here legally.
