A lot of those fake news sites are based in Russia and in their ally countries. Just run a few Whois lookups on some of your maw maw’s Facebook posts. I have an aunt who blocked me when I pointed out that the site she kept linking was owned by a 16-year-old Russian.
I bet that 16-year-old Russian can convince her to do something as stupid as voting for Trump.

Bottomline, Russia spent less on Facebook ads during the entire 2016 national election than Dems did running "Fake News Experiments" on Facebook in the RoyMoore Alabama race.
Put another way, it is likely Hillary paid Russians more for phony dossier stories than the Russians did on all their Facebook ads combined.
