Range Finder

So, played LSU not to long ago and my range finder fell out the cart. Pretty sure the two jackasses behind me picked it up, but they denied it, so it is what it is. I should've paid better attention.
Anyway, been looking at a cheap replacement, and reading about Simmons and Tasco hunting range finders that people use for golf with great success. Anyone here have any experiences with cheaper hunting range finder?

SkyCaddie touch might also be in the running

I got the caddy view v2 from Costco for around $100 and it’s always been within 1 yard of the nicer Bushnells that my friends play with.

Prime day is next week, bought a TecTec with slope and it works great. Usually +/- 3 yards from my buddies Bushnell

I just bought the WOSPORTS rangefinder on Amazon for 109. It calculates slope.
My dad has a Bushnell and we have gotten the same yardage over the past month.
One of the complaints was that it comes with a cheap battery, so I just went to Lowe’s and picked up a 2 pack of CR2 batteries for when the cheap battery dies.

I also purchased a cheaper one >$120 and I love it. It's just as accurate as my buddies very expensive one. It doesn't have slope, but I haven't been in a situation yet that really called for that.

Thinking about it. Only thing is that I sometimes want to shoot distance to a tree/bunker etc. How do you overcome that obstacle?

I've got a Garmin approach s20. It'll give me distances to hazards, front of green, back and center of green. There are fancier ones out there than can do more.

Can you track the distance of your shots by club? If so, how easy is it?

My buddy got a Callaway 300 range finder for $200. It calculates slope and really grabs the pin well.
I like it so much I’m going to buy one I think.

I use SkyCaddie Touch, b/c I like knowing front, middle, and back
Unfortunately, I’m not good enough to dial in distance, and when in doubt b/w clubs, I like to error on the side of caution that gives me more green to work with, etc.
I play old man golf and try to manage the course. It seems like most of the guys I play with have shooters, but they typically end up checking my device on occasion
And there’s no doubt I have used their number on occasion too.

Yes, more of a hassle than anything. To much messing with the watch. I just use it for yardage. The more higher end touch screen models are probably easier.

I couldn't find my range finder, but felt like it wasn't lost. I picked up a cheap Simmons on EBAY, it was used for around 30$. If you have good slope or if the flags have the reflector on them this thing was awesome. I did end up finding my other range finder when I took my clubs out of bag to clean them and it was in the bottom of bag.
