I think firing CPM is a ridiculous idea, but yours is a stupid reason. If a coach is not doing well enough you fire him. There are ten coaches out there, in every sport, who could do well. I promise you there are at least five coaches who are either assistants, or head coaches at small programs, who will be in the HOF one day. The AD’s job is to find them the way Bob Brodhead found Skip, and the way Mark Emerret found Saban.

Kyle Peterson seemed to know walking their best player was a good idea

He wasn't the only one thinking so. Who will Pawl throw under the bus for this decision?

frick, high school teams are shite canning coaches that don't win titles, yet we continue to watch this guy squander talent with undisciplined play. LSU is to college baseball what the gumps are to football. At least we used to be.

I dont think he needs to be replaced. But i do think from top to bottom LSU needs to recommit to baseball. Need to invest money, look at non traditional practices to incorporate into the program, hire some experienced asst coaches. It just seems the program has gotten complacent and stale.

Not gonna get it from me. It’s les miles 2.0. We are a bottom half SEC baseball program now, years in the making. Time for a change. Now!

Would love to see if Tim Tadlock could be enticed to come to Baton Rouge.

No, that’s literally the question. You don’t suggest replacing him without a replacement that will be an improvement.

If that’s the case then you’d never fire anybody and just retain mediocrity because you’re not guaranteed to get anybody.

He’s under contract for what, another five years?

Thanks, Alleva.

Sure, it’s a shite attitude to have and you can’t run the team that way but at least have a name in mind that you think would be a solid replacement if you’re going to call for CPM to be fired.

Paul should not be fired. He should be allowed to retire honorably. Do it now Paul so we can start the search.
