PSA: Apparently you can’t watch ESPN3 with Directv Now

Was trying to watch Stony Brook and ASU and kept getting an error message saying I wasn’t authorized for the content. Called Directv Now support and googled and they don’t support ESPN3. If that’s your means of watching it, I recommend to start calling people who have a different cable provider to get some log ins and passwords!

Same thing happened to me yesterday and I had to delete my espn app on fire stick and reinstall and it worked

ESPN is apparently dropping support for WatchESPN as well. The app on my phone is being discontinued on June 30, which will last through this baseball season, but will need to change over the summer.

I watched it fine on ESPN3 today with my direct tv login.

I got a new phone about a month ago and it wouldn’t even let me install WatchESPN, just the ESPN app.
IMO, WatchESPN was a better streaming experience but whatever. Just glad I get to actually watch the games this year.

Yes, we found this out this baseball season. What a dumb move by DTVnow. I used to be heir bigger promoter, and now I’m thinking about switching with all their gaffs lately.

I watched the game last night on DirecTV watch ESPN app. Don't use the DirecTV Now.

It’s the watch tv app. Change to the espn app.

The DirecTV Rep my brother spoke with a few months ago, didn't even know they offered the ESPN App stream service...
Their reps are clueless a lot of times in my experience.
Are you using the DirecTV remote red button to access the app?

Not using DirecTV people, I'm talking about DirecTV NOW, N-O-W. It is DirecTV's streaming service. You can watch the game fine using your satellite DirecTV log in!

I am NOT using DirecTV N-O-W.
I am watching everything on the Regular App!!!
I'm just saying I never Log in to anything. I just go to ESPN channel 206, using DirecTV, then wait a few seconds for the ESPN App pop-up, then hit the Red Button on my remote, and I get all of the selections.
