19 is your main tooth for chewing. If you lose that tooth, especially if you dont have wisdom teeth, you will definitely be in a bind on that side of your mouth when it comes to chewing.
It dont look like its gonna pull thru. Looks like I'll have to get an implant at a later point if I want a tooth there

Update time
Left messages with 4 different places, if I dont hear anything from them by 8am I'm having her drive me to the ER and hopefully they can push an appointment thru. Insurance has my ER visits at $75 right now so that's really nothing in the big scheme.
Scored some tylenol 3s from source redacted, it's taken a bit of the edge off. Cold compress and saltwater rinses have seemed to help with the swelling. Did my first go with oil pulling about 5 minutes ago, almost puked having to hold oil in my mouth that long. Put a fresh steeped chamomile/peppermint teabag over the tooth/gum area and have it sitting there like a dip pouch.
Pulling out all the stops, swelling and pain are manageable enough. Hoping some of the sweet lords herb can get me to a point of sleeping

Garlic is your friend here. Mix some garlic powder with a few drops of water to make a paste, and apply to tooth and surrounding gum, or hold a garlic clove in your mouth next to the affected tooth. Helps with both pain and infection.

I’ve found that a hot rag on the cheek relaxes the nerves and helps get some relief.

There’s more than one dentist in the world. I’d find one open tomorrow, and can take an emergency.
My normal dentist was on vacation and I had an abscess tooth, I had to go to someone else to get it extracted. That shite had to come out immediately. I literally couldn’t think about anything other than the pain.

Yep, I had a filling pop out of a molar a couple months ago and didn’t feel like paying $1000+ for the root canal and crown. I figured I’d be able to handle the pain because I have a pretty high tolerance. I was taking Advil and using Anbesol but finally it got to be too much so I went a couple weeks ago and had it extracted for under $100. I called the same day and they fit me in, no problem — Smart Dental in Prairieville

Fake news. Allicin is very unstable and definitively is not present in garlic powder. Will do nothing at all to an infection.
Purée of fresh garlic might have a marginal benefit though.

Found one and just wrapped up my office visit. 10 days of amoxicillin and some extra strength tylenol. Cant remove it until I finish the antibiotics

When I was in boot camp, I had to get a cavity filled. Of course the navy docs did a shite job at sealing it so the tooth became abscessed. Well it just so happened to become abscessed right as we were doing the live fire rifle range. The already painful enough tooth became exponentially more painful every time I sent a round out of the rifle. It fricking sucked and I’ve taken care of my teeth ever since then. Would rather have one of my toes chopped off than have the tooth pain.

My Mom was an RN for many years....She believed in applying crushed aspirin powder to relieve toothache pain. Not sure if it works for every type/cause- but it's worth a try if there's a chance it helps you.
Hope this helps bring some relief....

Pretty much open to anything at this point. When the doctor only gave me these Ibuprofen800's I knew it was going to be a long haul.
The Ibuprofen/Advil combo has been keeping the edge off pretty well. Chamomile/peppermint teabag dippouch is pretty damn good too

You do realize that Advil and ibuprofen are the same medication?
You meant alternating Tylenol with Advil right?
Tylenol is acetaminophen, Advil is ibuprofen.
Hope you feel better soon, abscessed tooth pain is miserable.

This is one of those things that I thank my parents for that I hated the shite out if when I was a kid.....my mom didn't ride our arse much (my dad was the disciplinarian) but she rode our arse like crazy on brushing our teeth twice a day and flossing ......I remember how much I hated it as a kid. However it became a habit by the time I got to HS and has been ever since....I've only had one cavity in my life and it was when I had braces. One more good reason to love momma :)
