Have y'all been keeping up with this Tfue story going around with Faze Clan?

What kind of idiot signs up for an 80/20 contract when they're the ones that receive the 20% of the income? You have to be a special kind of stupid to sign something like that.

no i don't, but if it does say "we get 80, you get 20", that's pretty dumb.

That's only the sponsors the clan brings to his social media platform. To my knowledge the reason they haven't taken anything is because Tfue doesn't show sponsors on his social media. If he had Steelseries logo on his stream, he would get 20% of the revenue and FaZe would get 80%.

the whole reason he is suing is to get out of his contract which is preventing him from taking much larger sponsorships where he makes 100%. He's basically missing out on millions.
Probably isnt the greatest thing to do but if he can somehow get out of this terrible contract because it breaks california law then he'd be smart to do it... faze keeps bringing up how they have only collected 60k from him... however if faze gets in a tough spot whats stopping them from collection on the millions he owes them. I say good on him. Esports orgs are known for writing up very predatory contracts to players who are trying to get their name out there. They have no leverage and probably no legal advice and do dumb shite like this. hopefully, this gets esports to start adding some regulations.

It doesn't look good at all from FaZe's part. This could open the door for more of their players to do the same.
Also the 13 year old fortnite player they have will probably be looked into when this goes through. No telling what laws they broke when signing him to a contract.

So if he gets his own brand deals he gets 100% of the revenue. But if faze provide the brand deal, all he has to do is show/use it and he gets 20% they get 80%. It doesnt sound all that bad really.

unless i read the chart wrong, if Tfue brings in his own brand deal, he only gets 50%. not 100%.
