Most people actually believe that if their is a heartbeat, it is a baby.
Stop being afraid of standing for up for what's right!

That’s empirically false. Support for abortion and women’s choice has steadily risen over the past 15 years.
And specifically regarding the Alabama law, it is not even close to popular at the national level and, after a few weeks of polling, I’m sure won’t be popular at the state level either.

When a sperm injects its dna into the egg, it’s a baby. That being said it’s a states rights issue. I support Bama and I hold my nose and I cry for Cali...if that is what they want.

Given the rhetoric we've been fed about the baby-hating Yankee states' third trimester infanticide laws passed earlier this year, because reasons - isn't it only fair for the other states to respect the wishes of the populace of the Southern states' own abortion laws?

<25% of Americans agree with your position. I don't know how to tell you, but that's not what 'overwhelming' means in English.

Also, if you can show me the statistical data that a majority of Americans support the Alabama law, I’ll change my stance
So your stances depend on majority support or not?

Shouldn't we only be interested in the statistical data of support from Alabama residents?

Are you extrapolating that from the same exact uncited stat you posted above? Or has there been a poll of Alabama residents?
Also, what's an outright ban stat have to do with this law?
Eta
The bill won with close to 80% of the vote. So either there will be a huge exodus of state reps or they voted based on the will of their respective constituents.

Provably false if you'd take more than 5 minutes to wander outside your echo chamber and do some research on the subject.

This. Drawn from the National American Election Studies survey (2016).

That's what the Alabama law is - an outright ban.

If it's empirically false then you can cite proof, not just examples, that you are correct. The onus is on you now.

Weird, I must have read a different bill. I wasn't aware that a legal abortion in Alabama is now impossible. Can you verify that?

No, I have my stances on these topics, but I also recognize political factors at play.
A temporary “victory” that results in a massive loss later on is not good for pro-life causes.
I don’t understand how y’all don’t see that.
Don't get me wrong. I think this is all a waste of time and money.
Bill should have at least also included the rape and incest exceptions.
If it had those I'd be 100% behind it
