One of the best values for used cars out there. They depreciate a surprising amount. I think MINI relies on cheap short term leases to move them, so the lease returns sort of flood the used market.

According to Consumer Reports Mini-Coopers from 2011 to 2016 are way below average in reliability.

The best thing about a mini is it's small enough that your kid won't be able to bring back a ton of dirty laundry from college.
