The engines went down and a mayday distress just went out. They are trying to evacuate 2300 right now in very strong seas with gale wind conditions.

There are right now still over 930 people aboard the ship! Emergency service VikingSky in Norway says, they can only take 15 people per flight each, the incident happened 14:00PM Norway time and situation is ongoing

Are the bartenders still working or do I need to make my own while I wait on my flight?

Damn.

I’m doing a trans Atlantic cruise in September. Spain, Portugal, Ascores, Bahamas and Miami.

Makes me a bit nervous.

I guess all those lifeboats are useless in seas like that.

Man, that would be fricking terrible.

ETA: at least it looks like the winds are blowing away from shore.

So if you were there and the anchor breaks, what do you do? Jump or ride her in?

I’ve landed a helicopter on a ship deck before. Must have been extremely challenging in that rough of seas.
