Motley Crue’s The Dirt

Anyone had a chance to check this out yet? Been waiting for this movie to be made since I first read The Dirt in college back in 2007. Was really worried that this was a “Netflix” movie but it seems to be getting good reviews so far. Not expecting it to live up to the book because that was one of the most entertaining reads ever, but have high hopes now.

I think it just came out today. I am looking forward to it though. Ready to see Ramsay Bolton shred some guitar

I heard Jeff Tremaine doing an interview about it and it sounded like it had potential

I hope they have the scene ripped straight from the book where they claim to have snorted a line of fire ants like it was cocaine

If you like Motley Crue, it was a great movie.
Better than Bohemian Rhapsody to me.
But then again I never liked Queen.

You have been waiting for a Motley Crue movie for 12 years?

Thought it was really good. Took me a second to get used to the guys playing the band, but they grew on me. Definitely liked it more than BR

Looking forward to this but seems like a ton to try to pack into a 108 minute movie.

Just finished watching it and it was really good. Now I want to read their book. But didnt know that Vince had some really bad personal things going on his life. Truly sad.

Looking forward to seeing the visualization of the book’s opening, complete with the bathroom with shite-stained t-shirts and towels.

Mgk is an excruciatingly bad actor. Thats all i got so far

Was interesting. Felt like a tv movie with nudity and drugs.

I mean I knew this movie would be bad from the trailer, but this was easily the worst movie I’ve seen in some time.

I though it was ok. The bad acting and overall production made it seem a little thrown together, but the overall story was entertaining.

This movie, much like the Crue, was okay-ish. The book was really good and their stories are so over the top that I think it could’ve been treated better.
This needs a re-do. Throw everyone out except for David Costabile as Doc.

I've only watched the first 15 minutes or so but the narration is awful and sounds like it was recorded in a room that wasn't sound proofed.

As a teenage metalhead in the '80s, I thought it was a pretty good movie. The Crue were cliched rock star hedonists then but they made some pretty good music. I can see how some people just think they're cheesy. But you can make that claim about alot of popular bands. Throw some nostalgia and tragic history from these knuckleheads lives into a Netflix movie and it comes across as slightly sappy and heartwarming. Rock and Roll, tits, drinking, drugs and pussy; close enough to what the '80s were actually like for a bit of reminiscing. 4 out of 5 stars.

I watch movies for entertainment.
SPOILER ALERT
SPOILER ALERT
SPOILER ALERT
I just finished it a few minutes ago. The first half of the move is a porno. The middle is lots of drugs. The second half is a child dying of cancer.
This is not why I watch TV or Movies. I want escapism. Not "watch this little girl die while she begs her daddy for love"
frick this movie. Better off reading wikipedia for a bio of Motley Crue.
Then you don't have to watch a baby die.

Watched this last night and I really enjoyed it. I actually thought MGK did pretty good as Tommy Lee and Ramsay Bolton was nice to see. Some moments were hilarious and crazy and some were heartfelt and sad. One of the best Netflix movies to come out in awhile IMO. I was born in 89, so it really made me wish I could have experienced the hair band era of music.
