Here you go again, making stupid points and acting like I typed them. Hey bro, I'm just concerned that yet another lsu pitcher has a sore arm.
quote:
Landon Marceaux was available to pitch Sunday (was sore for a few days before)
quote:Now you tell me whose sore arm is a concern? 1) A guy who was "sore for a few days" after pitching his longest appearance this season on Tuesday but was okay to pitch on Sunday, or, 2) an infielder who might be held out of a game tomorrow night.
Chris Reid has a slightly sore throwing arm, so he may not play tomorrow
So, again, what pattern of sore arms on infielders which might make them unavailable to play are you incorrectly referring to?

Impossible, he had a sore arm

Its really not concerning when a freshmen to have arm soreness after a start early in the season. But that wont stop them from complaining.
And our depth is allowing us to rest guys more than we have in the past. And the coaches are talking about it more than they have in the past (it feels that way at least, may or may not be true).

Does Mathis have arm soreness too?
We were discussing in stands in Game 3 that Mathis should be sore after more than 30 throw downs to second and about 450 throw-backs to the pitcher within around 24 hours.

I think this is the main thing. In years past most of these guys would be pitching through soreness. We have the luxury of bringing them on slow this year so we are.
I wouldn’t even be surprised to see someone like Hess take off for a start at some point in the season after Hill comes back and if Hilliard can get back to normal.

Yes, very concerning

In fact, ALL pitchers who pitch in a game for any length of time will be sore the next day or two. That's the toll that throwing a 5.25 ounce, three inches in diameter sphere 90 mph takes on a player's arm.
Even major league pitchers have to occasionally delay a start to allow their arm to recover from their last start 5 days earlier.

Alan Dunn is one of those “throwing constantly builds up arm strength” guys. It’s too old School and obviously isn’t keeping our pitchers arms healthy.

God the chicken littles on here are the worst.

Dunn doesn't even allow pitchers to pitch off a mound between starts except for a short bullpen session the day before the next start.
That session is to make sure there's no lingering soreness leftover from the previous start.

I'm afraid to go to a game at the Box, I don't want to catch the arm soreness
Posted on 3/19/19 at 4:51 pm to LSURussian
Ok so to you its normal to trot a guy back out after a short week of rest after confirmed arm soreness? That's homer vision.
I dont even think it's something happening on game day.
I'm concerned about what is happening at practice.

But you got upset that they are being careful and holding out Hill for a couple extra weeks for precautionary reasons.

What's happening at practice? Serious question.

Is Paul just playing the long game to have a fresh team at the end of the season?

He has no idea. He only casually follows LSU baseball and he has no idea what goes on in the rest of the NCAA, MiLB and MLB.
But a couple pitchers have sore arms and all of a sudden he’s an expert and “concerned”

No not upset at all. I'm CONCERNED. Hill is a multi sport stud. Shouldn't be experiencing this at all. I can understand a travel ball guy having less mileage on their arm. Hill is the perfect recruit. I'm CONCERNED that they taught him a weird curveball and now he hasn't pitched in a month.
I dont know what they are doing at practice, but it concerns me.

I think this is definitely part of the equation.
