Smart isn’t on wiretaps. Our former coach is.
Yes, purportedly talking about arranging improper benefits for Javonte Smart. If investigations reveal no evidence of Smart ever receiving said improper benefits, then it's kind of hard to hang Wade out to dry for that conversation (for which we do not know the context).
Look, there may be more shoes to drop in the future with other recordings or evidence that has not yet come to light. But based on what we know now, it's hard to draw much of a distinction between Wade and Smart. The LSU administration has just painted itself into a corner with a knee-jerk reaction that they can't now find a graceful way to back down from.

What did he lie about? I remember him saying he had never "done business" with Dawkins and I'm not sure how you think this tape proves otherwise. Sounds to me like he's more venting than "doing business".

If they believe Smart that nothing violating NCAA rules occurred with his recruitment then the only reason Wade is still suspended is his unwillingness to discuss the matter due to advice of counsel.

I’ll admit it, yes I like WW more than LSU administrators! And...
I want LSU to win, period. Wade has been better at winning than Alleva or F King.

Except for the contractual obligation WW has to cooperate fully with LSU and NCAA in any possible investigation or rules violation. Clamming up on lawyers advice is not fully cooperating. It's the smart thing to do, but does not comply with his contractual obligations.
Contradictory obligation can be a defense to a breach of contract claim especially when it involves an officer of the court giving proper legal advice to his client. The NCAA and a civil court case by Wade against LSU would be two different things and a court could question why LSU needed Wade's cooperation, which his counsel promised after Wade gave his upcoming testimony, if they had done as they claimed and done an exhaustive investigation in several states to clear Smart.

Honest question, is making an offer illegal? Or does a transaction need to occur?

Every major college sports coach breaches their contract. Keep showing your arse.

I want Will Wade to coach again, but that is the reality of the situation right now.

I wish he cared as much about holding the football coach accountable for his performance as he cares about holding Will Wade accountable for his actions.

Will Wade is by far my favorite coach at LSU and Ive been a champion of his even when everyone was bashing him earlier this year. I am not delusional enough to look past facts. Pretty simple.

As a criminal concept there would have to be specific numbers and actions discussed.
As an NCAA concept it is a bit murkier.

Other than the FBI transcript what other facts do you have?

And do we know if this is even factual?
Anonymous leak of an alleged partial transcript.
I don’t know, you don’t know. Lester Earl probably does though.

there are tons of facts concerning little details of this story. Wouldnt know where to start.
Will Wade not talking to LSU is probably the biggest.

And I am not claiming the conversation was not actual but I am saying I could sway its meaning absent other information. What if Wade claims "damn strong offer" meant he maximized the student aid he could legally get for Smart at LSU. As LSU claims it investigated THOROUGHLY IN SEVERAL STATES and found nothing wrong with Smart's recruitment that "take" could fly.

This is not going to make sense to someone like yourself who has a room temperature IQ but when your attorney says not to talk about an upcoming legal matter you listen REGARDLESS OF YOUR POTENTIAL GUILT OR INNOCENCE. In fact, he did those officials at LSU a favor as they could have been subpoenaed had he discussed the matter with them. And though his contact specifies he cooperate with an investigation, contractual language is not the word of God and courts routinely dismiss such claims of breach when mitigating or, in this case, contradictory legal circumstances are present.
Now, you can go back to masturbating in your own feces.
