With Smart being cleared all that Will Wade will do for LSU in the future is cost them

If they believe Smart that nothing violating NCAA rules occurred with his recruitment then the only reason Wade is still suspended is his unwillingness to discuss the matter due to advice of counsel. Any defense attorney would offer that same advice. LSU's attorneys would be tongue-tied in court if Wade sues and LSU has to explain why they believed Smart but still suspended Wade if all they had to hang their hat on was that he was listening to his attorney.

Will Wade is being paid despite directly breaching his contract agreement, and you are sitting here thinking he has grounds to sue LSU. LOL!!

Why would Wade have to clear up anything now? Smart obviously said there was no payments or wrongdoing and the issue at hand with Wade involves the same incident.
It's almost as if the administration just wants Wade to say," I'm sorry!"

If nothing comes out of trial in April or enough to implicate Wade than he likely does have some legal options against LSU for tarnishing his reputation.
Now, if Smart is not being truthful than you are looking at a Lester Earl type deal or Smart can play the I didn't know anything deal and it was all done without my knowledge.

At this point this has been beaten into the mud. There isn't another stone that is left unturned with this situation. Why do we have to keep rehashing it?
Lots of people would love for Wade to come back, but it's highly unlikely to happen. What slim chance we had vanished when Wade took his shot with his statement. LSU fired back. Both sides are now handling this poorly. Wade has likely coached his last game at LSU. As much as that sucks, that's most likely a fact.

That's probably what ultimately happens. Smart will deny till the end and make them prove he knew about it, which may be difficult to do, exactly as he should.

Wade can do the same thing if he desired.
On the recorded conversation he can claim that he plays those runners like that all the time just to see what they know about the player and if the player goes by the rules. He can then claim that obviously he was was playing the runner because LSU interviewed Smart and his mother and claimed to investigate in several states yet found nothing to corroborate that anything from that conversation turned into reality.

I doubt it. Read this section of his contract. He won't meet with LSU, he is breaching the contract that he signed.
If he wants to use the federal trial as an excuse not to talk, then being suspended with pay is a perfectly suitable middle ground for both parties.
His reputation cannot be tarnished if he is the one not complying with the university How does that make sense?

Section 3 "Duties & Responsibilities"
As head men's basketball coach, COACH'S duties and responsibilities shall include the following, all subject to compliance with applicable law, LSU by-laws and policies, and directives, input and advice of the President and Athletic Director:
H. Cooperating fully in any investigation of possible NCAA or SEC violations conducted or authorized by LSU, the SEC, or the NCAA at any time.

In court, contractual obligations are often balanced with mitigating circumstance, which would be an allowed affirmative defense to a breach of contract claim. And while some emails have been released NOBODY on this board knows the full story of what was discussed regarding any investigation.

They have him lying after the 1st leak too. They have him on more than 1 thing if they wanted.

Nah, I just really HATE Joe Alleva and F King Alexander. Especially Alleva who was never held accountable and rewarded with a higher paying job after ruining the lives of the many folks.
This Lester Earl guy is the crusader. I am a realist and this Wade thing will end up costing LSU big in one way or the other.

Except for the contractual obligation WW has to cooperate fully with LSU and NCAA in any possible investigation or rules violation. Clamming up on lawyers advice is not fully cooperating. It's the smart thing to do, but does not comply with his contractual obligations.

Currently. A subpoena could be issued for Smart in same criminal case. I believe his testimony would be about as relevant as WW's testimony. At this time, Wade is under threat of subpoena, he hasn't actually been subpoenaed.
